A few months ago I was introduced to LeeAnna and a group of inspiring friends who get together most Thursday’s to share a list of likes and loves over on LeeAnna’s blog Not Afraid of Color. To-Do Tuesday 27
This week has just spun by so quickly. I was able to teach at my Guild again on Saturday. My group of 5 were each busy with their own projects so I even managed a bit of time with my machine. One of these amazing ladies finished constructing her quilt top that she started pre-Covid.ContinueContinue reading “To-Do Tuesday 27”
Happy Thanksgiving
Here in Canada it’s Thanksgiving Day. Some people are managing to share their holiday with family and friends. Others are choosing to stay home in their bubble. However you are choosing to spend your day I do hope it is wonderful. DH and I are tucked in at home. The weather is a bit unpredictableContinueContinue reading “Happy Thanksgiving”

No More Please
I thought this week couldn’t get any worse: – rising Covid numbers all over the world – increased numbers of anti- maskers – more lies from the American President – an increased likelihood of us having both Provincial and Federal Elections this fall in Canada. – the passing of my ex husband yesterday. And theContinueContinue reading “No More Please”
When Life Gets Overwhelmimg
Today was one of those days. We got up to smoky skies, but I could almost see my mountains. After breakfast we headed in to Nelson for DH to get X-rays, bloodwork, pick up prescriptions, and have physio. I planned to do the grocery shopping since we were in town. DH decided he is independentContinueContinue reading “When Life Gets Overwhelmimg”
I Love Thursday #14
Have you found that some weeks are flying by and others are dragging? I’m discovering that the news is still having a profound effect on my moods and productivity. I try to read this frequently and having it hanging by my sewing table. I have been limiting watching news time, but find it is allContinueContinue reading “I Love Thursday #14”
Happy Labour Day Weekend!
It was great to have a common long weekend in both Canada and America. It’s nice that we can share the same holiday! I had a good weekend pulling fabrics for some pattern tests and upcoming projects. DH was out on the course doing some putting and chipping. He is progressing and so is myContinueContinue reading “Happy Labour Day Weekend!”

I Love Thursday #10
Another week of adventures; some good, some just plain strange. I love that DH has finally been able to get up and start walking a bit more. It’s really good since on Friday he should be getting his staples out! I am especially happy that my daughter has been here for almost two weeks andContinueContinue reading “I Love Thursday #10”
I like Thursday #9
This has been a week of adventures. I like the fact that DH went into hospital last Thursday for his knee replacement surgery. It was a real adventure trying to establish communication with the surgical staff with the Covid shutdown but we managed. He did well but really seemed confused so that was a concern.ContinueContinue reading “I like Thursday #9”
I Love Thursday #8
Another week of getting my I like/love thoughts together has me pulling social media posts and memes to try to fit my thoughts into words. Not only are we still dealing with the spiking Covid 19 numbers, we are seeing more mass death and attacks, peaceful protesters being shot, gassed or hauled away in theContinueContinue reading “I Love Thursday #8”
I Love Thursdays #5
I will be linking with LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color and going to check out all the different blog posts. I love seeing what makes everyone happy. In these times with the increasing numbers of people getting sick and passing away fromContinueContinue reading “I Love Thursdays #5”
Sunday Sewing
It was Canada Day on Wednesday. When Canada first became a country the day was called Dominion Day. I’m not quite sure when the name got changed. Most celebrations were cancelled because of the pandemic. Fireworks were set off in so many cities, concerts were streamed and people mostly were safe distancing when they didContinueContinue reading “Sunday Sewing”

Friday Fun
I do think I’m getting my sewjo back! A big part of it was going to the post office today and finding this: One day I had been reading a blog post on Mary Mack’s Blog and saw that she had a giveaway for some scraps of Island Batiks fabric. Of course I commented becauseContinueContinue reading “Friday Fun”
