Sunday Sewing

Didn’t get a lot done today but I did finish a pattern test yesterday

This test quilt top is finished

I should be able to share that one soon. The reason I didn’t get more done yesterday was the hour’s worth of shovelling I had to do to get in to our Guild yesterday. I now know how bad of shape I’m in because I am hurting today! 🥴

It slowed me down today as well but I finished the pattern test I had forgotten about the week before last! It was so much fun I did two more of them and they will go into the pile for the Christmas hampers.

Our deadline for gifts for the Hampers has been moved up to November 22 so I need to concentrate on getting anything I can done. Apparently the requests for hampers has almost tripled this year.

Earlier I was chatting with my granddaughter. She asked me how much fabric I have in my stash. I started laughing thinking of a friend of mine. She bought a new bed recently and told her husband she had to because she couldn’t sleep in their bed. She told me she bought it because the mattress lifts and it has a large storage compartment underneath. She said she needed more space to hide her stash and since her husband never changes the bedding she thinks she won’t get found out! 🤫

What did you work on this weekend? Hopefully anything but shovelling snow. 😉

Thanks for stopping by. 😁 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. I’m just seeing this post on Monday, so I hope you are feeling better today. On Saturday I took a class from Joe Cunningham; it was so much fun. Sunday I rested, read a book, spent time with my family. Back to sewing today!

    1. Hi Wendy. I was so out of it last night I forgot to publish my post. Doing great today since I started doing Tai Chi again to loosen the muscles. Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. I’m enjoying looking up Joe Cunningham now since I read your post about him. Bet the class was fun! Have a good week sewing 😉
