I will be joining some friends over at LeeAnna’s Blog, Not Afraid of Color to share posts about things we love or like. It’s a weekly thing and I’m sure you will find something to make you smile or even some quilty inspiration. Lord knows we could all use both added to our lives right now.
I love rain and it finally started today. We have had none since the beginning of August and with a wildfire burning we have been praying for it. Yesterday afternoon it started and is forecast for a week!

I love Fall with not only the leaves changing colours and being able to hear the sound of crunchy leaves underfoot as you go for a walk, it is in my mind the start of quilting season. Gardens are being put to bed and Fall Hops are starting. I was happy to take part in two hops this week.
I love having the comfort of family and friends sharing stories of my ex husband. It has made dealing with the many emotions easier to bear. It almost became a contest of who could share the funniest story.
I love my grandson and his sweet partner. Last Thursday they discovered that their expected baby is another girl. With the passing of my ex husband they waited to share their news with me and the rest of the world (including their parents!) until Saturday.

Of course I do have to add a meme to my post for a bit of humour. We all need a reason to chuckle on good days or bad.

I really like helping designers I admire by volunteering to do pattern tests for them. I have 3 in the works right now and just got a request for another! Having deadlines keeps me accountable and it allows to feel as if I am helping in a small way to bring some incredible new patterns to the quilting world.
So I’m hoping your week is going well and you are taking some time to do what bring you joy and happiness.
I appreciate your taking time to read my post and I enjoy hearing about what you like and respond to your comments. 😄 Carol
Oh, another baby girl! How fun! I enjoy testing patterns too. I learn so much!

Wendy I’m so excited about the baby! Testing patterns is the best way to learn. Maybe I’ll even learn how to write my own patterns finally so others can understand them 🤔

Hi Carol! Clarke is going to be a big sister?!! She doesn’t look to be too thrilled about it right now. But I am 100% certain they will grow up to be so close. That is so exciting. Yay for rain – I hope it douses all of the fires. Thank the Lord for the blessed relief from the rain. ~smile~ Roseanne

Roseanne little Clarke was so tired when this picture was taken. Won’t it be nice? Levi, Clarke and Baby all within 2 1/2 years. Did a dance in the rain this morning because I could breathe 😆

Hi Carol … the rain should bring the smoke level down! It’s all gone at the coast now … but you’ll be in for stormy weather in the next day or so!
Good luck with your test patterns!
Happy Quilting! 🙂

Hi Gail. Yes I can breathe now and enjoyed a walk this morning. Apparently we have rainy weather for a week coming. I’ll take it happily! Work is progressing on the tests now that we are back from our 4th trip to town for DH’s medical stuff! 😃

Congratulations to all…a new baby granddaughter. How wonderful.
Love how you are keeping so happily busy with your stitching. Blog hops always reveal neat projects. I will check these two out.
Hope the rain was just the right amount needed. (Weather being so extreme it seems these days.)

Glad you are enjoying some rain. I am sorry for the loss of your ex husband, even though they are no longer part of you when someone you were so very close to passes, whether you realize it or not your heart tears a little. How fun more babies! I agree fall is putting the yard to bed, and getting ready for winter reading, and sewing.
