I Love Thursday #3

Just wanted to say thank you to Roseanne and Sue at Home Sewn By Us and LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color for hosting the Linky party that encourages us all to think of things we love or like. In these crazy times some introspection can be a welcome reset. 1. I love having timeContinueContinue reading “I Love Thursday #3”

February OMG Finishes

My goals for February were: 1. To start working on a design for a Memory Quilt. 2. To keep working on my leader/ender project. 3. To keep working on getting some quilt tops sandwiched, quilted and bound. 4. Cope with having surgeries on both eyes to remove cataracts and implant lenses. So to date IContinueContinue reading “February OMG Finishes”

To Do Tuesday #1

My list for February’s OMG was a short one; only 3 things on it. I’ve been making some progress and even dealing with a squirrel , or two! 1. Sort out DH’s tshirts and start on the design for a memory quilt. To get to the bins with his shirts in I pretty much hadContinueContinue reading “To Do Tuesday #1”

Last half of February

This hasn’t been the most productive month I have had, but my vision in one eye is fantastic and my right eye gets operated on in a week and a half so I’m content. I did manage to keep working on my four patches for the scrappy quilt I’ve been working on. I was doingContinueContinue reading “Last half of February”

Day 2 Post Surgery

Another adventure has begun! Had the cataract surgery on Monday. I admit to being scared witless beforehand😩. All in all it took less than an hour from when I got to the hospital to walking out the door! My surgeon was fantastic and explained things as he was proceeding. He was satisfied with how everythingContinueContinue reading “Day 2 Post Surgery”

Weekly Goals

I’m trying to break down my monthly goals to weekly ones to allot time for the bigger projects and still have time for any projects that pop up. My first project is to work on Mosaic Mystery. It’s been hanging around and getting pushed back on the list by other projects. I need to getContinueContinue reading “Weekly Goals”

Mosaic Mystery Update

This morning we had to go to Nelson for DH’s doctor’s appointments. Normally a 50 minute drive. We have severe storm warnings out so it took me an hour and a half to get there. After the appointment we stopped for prescriptions and groceries. The trip home took me just over 1 3/4 hours. ItContinueContinue reading “Mosaic Mystery Update”

November OMG

I can not believe November is almost over. It seems like it just began last week! The fact that there is still no snow on the ground makes it even more difficult to believe. I did manage to turn theses sweet piles of cut fabrics in to a finished top: Blue and cream beauty! ItContinueContinue reading “November OMG”

And we have a winner!

In my post on the Stitch it and Gift It Blog Hop I let everyone know that I was having a giveaway for one follower of my blog. I said the giveaway would be a surprise and would depend on where the winner lived. Kind of strange, but since DH and are are retired, fundsContinueContinue reading “And we have a winner!”

Q4 Finish Along

Time to start a new list for the final quarter of 2019. This quarter will be a tough one. Next week I get to start taking my sling off to do some gentle exercise on my shoulder. Being able to resist the urge to do “just a bit more” will be difficult. I’m not sayingContinueContinue reading “Q4 Finish Along”

October OMG

Can you believe it’s October already? I sure can’t. The weathers here is still mild, the leaves are just starting to fall and there is just a skiff of snow high up on the ridges. As of tomorrow it will be one month since my surgery so my goals for the month will have toContinueContinue reading “October OMG”

Welcome to my stop on the OnceUpon Story Row Along! I was so excited to see the theme for this Row Along and had to jump in and volunteer when Marian announced the upcoming Row Along. She has been doing this Row Along for 5 years now! It’s been so much fun to read allContinueContinue reading “Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let Down Your Hair!”

Sunday Sewing

This week was a good one. I’m doing my physio daily and saw my surgeon for the 2 week follow up post surgery. He is pleased with my progress. The incisions are all healed up so I can shower as long as I keep a sling on. The first time switching out of Big BerthaContinueContinue reading “Sunday Sewing”

September OMG

My September OMG was to finally decide on a quilt for me! My last count I have completed 343 quilts. Each and every one has been gifted or donated. When I discovered that surgery was necessary and imminent I started getting organized and that was when I confirmed that I had indeed donated the lastContinueContinue reading “September OMG”
