It’s been quite a week of fabric fun. I’ve decided that keeping busy while DH shifts back and forth between Canadian news and American news for 6 – 10 hours a day will make me crazy if I don’t find ways to tune it out. My first finish was piecing the flimsy for my projectContinueContinue reading “March 15-21 Progress Report”

My Day on Quilt Qwazy Queens
How are you all doing? I trust you are being socially responsible and isolating yourself in your sewing rooms? It sure feels like that’s all I have been doing besides normal housework and chores. I have found I’ve been spending more time on line than I usually do, but who can resist seeing what everyoneContinueContinue reading “My Day on Quilt Qwazy Queens”
Project Quilting 11.6
I had bought a wedge ruler a while back and the new challenge had me thinking of how to use it in this project. I knew I wanted to use solids and create a project that reflected the way we are feeling these days. Loving our family and friends, feeling a bit scattered and concerned,ContinueContinue reading “Project Quilting 11.6”
I Love Thursday #1
I Love Thursday’s has been a Linky party I’ve been appreciating for quite a while. Several of my favourite bloggers participate. Do pop over to some of their sites. Links will be at the bottom of my post. I’m thinking it’s time I shared some of my loves. My first love is my DH. ThisContinueContinue reading “I Love Thursday #1”
Garden Walk
Sue Beevers is the designer of this quilt pattern. The design is a quick 12” finished block quilt and I tested it for The Quilt Pattern Magazine. The pattern is well written and very easy to follow. Cutting took about an hour and the instructions were very clear. Cut and ready to go The simplicityContinueContinue reading “Garden Walk”

February OMG Finishes
My goals for February were: 1. To start working on a design for a Memory Quilt. 2. To keep working on my leader/ender project. 3. To keep working on getting some quilt tops sandwiched, quilted and bound. 4. Cope with having surgeries on both eyes to remove cataracts and implant lenses. So to date IContinueContinue reading “February OMG Finishes”
Project Quilting 11.4 Birds in the Air
The new challenge was posted on Sunday and somehow I missed it. Luckily another blogger mentioned it in one of her posts. The challenge was to use the Birds in The Air block in either it’s original format or revising it. I remembered I had some leftover 4 patches and bonus hst’s from a quiltContinueContinue reading “Project Quilting 11.4 Birds in the Air”
Project Quilting 11.3
In spite of my wonky vision I managed to finish my project. A good friend, who just happens to be a Quilter had told me she is looking for a bag to keep her quilting tools together when she comes to our quilting days at the Guild. She has had a rough year, losing herContinueContinue reading “Project Quilting 11.3”

I’m not quite sure where the month went, but it’s over! I did have some success this month with some sweet finishes. First was a pattern for The Quilt Pattern Magazine. It turned out beautifully and here’s a peak at the fabrics. This will be shown in the spring. By then I might have itContinueContinue reading “January In Review”
Another Flimsy finished
I can’t believe I managed to finish one of the pattern tests I’m doing! It’s been a busy week for me. I was teaching at the Guild on Saturday. Then Tuesday my students needed an extra day of help. They are all at different stages in their quilts so I was busy with instructions forContinueContinue reading “Another Flimsy finished”
Work on Wednesday
Another finish for the month! A sweet pattern test for Becca at Pretty Piney Quilts I did a crib size quilt which finishes at 36” x 45”. If you enjoy doing flying geese this is a wonderful pattern. The way Becca wrote it, you change the finished size of the blocks to make a largerContinueContinue reading “Work on Wednesday”

This Week in Review
This was a very productive week but I didn’t quite make my goals I did get the Mosaic Mystery quilt top finished and have been debating on whether or not to add more borders. More borders or not? I think I’m done with it! The decision was made by measuring it. 😉. I like theContinueContinue reading “This Week in Review”
Mosaic Mystery Update
This morning we had to go to Nelson for DH’s doctor’s appointments. Normally a 50 minute drive. We have severe storm warnings out so it took me an hour and a half to get there. After the appointment we stopped for prescriptions and groceries. The trip home took me just over 1 3/4 hours. ItContinueContinue reading “Mosaic Mystery Update”

DREaMI project
Yesterday I was at my Guild for my monthly class and working to help my students with their varied projects. While there 3 of us took a break to run to New Denver to see the renovations Kathy had made to her shop, Sew Much More Quilt and Yarn. She was having her grand re-openingContinueContinue reading “DREaMI project”
