Another week of sooo many trips to town for appointments, assessments, meetings and doing interviews for Clubhouse staff at the golf course. The good news is sewing happened every day even if I can’t show off my projects yet! 😁
Last goals:
1. Keep working on my hand quilting, EPP projects and leader/ender projects. Some progress on several of these projects. 😃
2. When I get back to the studio next, make the time to quilt my version of A Roll of the Dice which is back on the frame. If all goes according to plan, I should be able to go to the studio in a couple of weeks for a few days of longarm therapy before we head out on vacation. 🤞🏻
3. Finish my second Heading North quilt, designed by Sandra of MMM Quilts. No progress.
4. Keep working on my Dresden blocks and Double Wedding Ring quilt in between my other projects. No progress on the Dresden blocks, but I have a plan decided on for the centres finally, but need my Accuquilt cutter and dies which are at the studio. 😁

5. Work on the last binding that needs to be hand stitched when I get back to the studio.
6. Keep working on my project for Little Green Apples Blog Hop hosted by Carol from Just Let Me Quilt. Almost done! 😃

7. Start planning a project for the next hop hosted by Joan from MooseStash Quilting. The fun has begun ! 😁

8. Keep working on my RSC Challenge blocks. March’s colour is green and I just happen to have some funky, green scraps! 🍀☘️

9. Work on my last SAHRR border so I can get it quilted and bound. This is one of my favourite QALs of the year and I enjoy working along with Quilting Gail and all of our quilty friends. It’s a finished flimsy, sandwiched and quilting has begun. 😉

Had to update this post with a couple of photos of my finished SAHRR, including a photo of it doing its job 😉

10. Keep playing with the scraps from Monique so I can get those bags emptied and out of my sewing corner. 😁. I’m working on the sashing still, but also found the perfect border fabric.

11. Do not allow Sam or any of her squirrel friends to distract me any more this week. 🐿💕🐿

Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day.
I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year, and have my week set as Sunday to.
- January 31/31
- February 28/28
- March 11/11
- this week 7/7
- Previous Total 63/63
- Total: 70/70
- Percentage = 100 %

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash.
- Fabric Used: 3 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 82 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 79 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards this year. I haven’t managed to actually figure out how much fabric I really have in my stash so it just seems reasonable to keep working from stash. I have reduced my stash these past few years and really only purchase fabric if I need it for a particular project. 😉
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!

PHD in 2023
Quilting Gail is hosting her PHD in 2023 Challenge again this year.

Thank you for stopping by and reading my post. Your comments make my day and I do reply to each one. 😉 Carol

Hi Carol! Even with all those appointments, etc. you still haven’t purchased fabric for 2023. You are amazing! And stitching every day, too. Good luck with this week’s list. Don’t stress yourself out over anything – you have to be in good shape for your vacay. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Roseanne. I can’t believe not having bought any fabric yet either, but I’ve been looking at shops along my vacay route and think I might be in trouble. 😉 Stress free is what I’m aiming for these days.

That you keep stitching a little each day is such a good thing, Carol. Those projects will keep moving along! Always fun to see what you are working on!

Your stats are awesome! Boy, don’t appointments and things just really burn up the week? Are you in a ladies golf league then? Good luck on the projects! (I have some scraps I need to tend to as well!)

Hi Cheree. No I don’t play golf. But I am on the Board of Directors for the golf course where we live. My DH built the clubhouse 30+ years ago so it matters to me that the non profit keeps going. 😉

Looks like you had a productive week including a cute St. Patrick’s Day gnome. I love the cat fabric. Is that Laurel Birch?

Thank you. It was a fun week with another cute Gnome done. I think the cat fabric is Laurel Birch but the selvedge edge was cut off I used the length for borders on something and didn’t leave the selvedge pinned to the remaining pieces which I now do in case I need to match it later. 🧐

You’ve done well with all your quilt related activities. Congrats on 100% on stitching time for the year. That’s awesome (and not easy to do).

Thanks Kate. Sewing every day is easy when your sewing corner is 4 feet from the tv and DH likes to flip channels, watch news, sports and car shows 😉

Congratulations on not buying any fabric so far this year! I wouldn’t have if my LQS was not going out of business. I had to have some pretty fabric and wide backing for quilting! LOL I hope you had a great week and you have a good vacation. We are heading out for a few days on the 27th to enjoy some fresh Gulf coast seafood!

Thank you Brenda. If my LQS was having a sale like that I would be shopping as well! Mmmm. The seafood sounds incredible and I hope you have a wonderful vacation. I think after these past couple of years we have all earned a good one! 😉
