15. Stay at Home Round Robin 2023. This is the brainchild Quilting Gail, started during the pandemic. Gail and several of our friends share prompts each week until we get to finish our quilts and joking theParade. My little quilt was created to cover my IMac, printer and keyboard. Finished Mar.12.

16. PQ 14.6 Conquer A Fear. 2 placemats, using curves, appliqué (needle turn and reverse) and Y – Seams. Hand quilted. Binding finished March 18.

17. February’s Sew It- Show It Challenge, Sweet On You – I used some orphan blocks from some pattern tests I had done for Sandra Healy Designs to make some throw pillows.

18. March’s Sew It – Show It Challenge, Little Green Apples theme had me working on some fun green projects; an appliqué quilt which is sandwiched and being quilted in between other projects and a Double Wedding Ring quilt which began as the centre cream panel from Denise. It is on the longarm frame waiting for me to get back to the studio to finish the quilting. 😳

19. April’s Sew It Show It Challenge was Say What! It inspired me to try a fun fabric weaving technique from Woven Quilts book from our Guild library. I used the woven panel to create a new bag to fit on my suitcase to hold our water bottles or electronic devices when we are travelling. 😁

20 . May’s Sew It Show It Challenge, Rose Colored Glasses had me seeing pink and creating 2 pieced/appliquéd wall hanging to put on the wall above my scuttling table. 😁

21. An opportunity rose to do a pattern test for The Quilt Pattern Magazine. Four Square is a pattern by and was to be published in the November issue. It finishes at 48” x 48”. It quilted it on my dsm, doing stitch in the ditch to keep it soft and cuddly. The hand stitched binding was finished May 27 and it was donated to a local fundraiser for a wonderful friend who was just diagnosed with terminal cancer.

22. When Pigs Fly Sew It-Show It Challenge #1 Winnie the Pooh Panel Quilt. Finished size 46” x 52”. Gifted to a friend for her little one’s youth bed. Quilting is a simple curvy line and swirl, using my favourite Essential Threads, to keep it soft and cuddly. Finished June 10th.

23. When Pigs Fly Sew It- Show It Challenge #2. Double Wedding Ring. It started when Denise gifted me the centre panel. I finished sewing the arcs, finally decided on the background, and quilted it with an Urban Elementz panto, and the binding was finished June 11th. Finished size

24. When Pigs Fly Sew It- Show It Challenge #3 – Mosaic Mystery by Cheryl Brickey of Meadow Mist Designs which ran July 2019 – April 2020. I used another of Urban Elementz’ pantos Flower Power. With the angular lines of the quilt design, I wanted a curvy flowing quilting pattern so this seemed to work.

25. Quilty Hugs. Throw Quilt. 55 1/2” x 70 1/2” pattern is Small Change by the Canuck Quilter. This was a UFO from my TBQ bins. Longarm quilting was a E2E panto done By Kerstin from Divine Sew. I gifted it to Dee to remind her I’m always sending a hug when I think of her dear husband, Kenny (my best friend for 35 years) who passed in Sept. 2022. 🤗

For those who know me, my world went crazy in June when I started a new career managing the clubhouse (and cooking) for the golf course where I live. I soon discovered that even at my age I could manage to work 15-16 or even 18 hours a day. The craziness continued with my involvement on the Board that runs our Not For Profit Society that manages the golf course.

I did do more sewing

At some point I will be able to finalize this list and get it updated, but for now this is all I can share.
