Project Quilting

Once again thank you Kim and Trish for another great challenge. Season 14 of Project QUILTING is such a fun challenge. 244 quilts were started and finished in just ONE week for the PQ 14.2 Pink Tint Challenge!

This week’s challenge was posted:

This is one of the blocks I use when I’m teaching quilting at my Guild. I’ve lost count of the beginning quilters that have made a Sampler Quilt from my pattern. There are several versions of patterns to make this block. One pattern I have uses two flying geese to make the star points, but I prefer to make the points using my Tri Recs Ruler.

Once I had my block made, I continued to add a border and constructed a back piece using several leftover squares and strips. I sandwiched my top and a backing fabric and did some stitch in the ditch quilting. Once I had it squared up I added a zipper. Here it is:

I now have a project pouch made to put my Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks in since I’ll be needing to keep them together and add to them throughout the year.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post! I had so much fun with this challenge. 😃 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.
