SAHRR – The Second Border

In case you missed it, the SAHRR has begun. Last week everyone shared photos of their first border……spools!

See the QAL schedule below:

Once I added my spool border my little quilt was 9 1/2” x 12”. The prompt this week is from Wendy of Pieceful Thoughts of my Quilting Life and she gave us stars.

I spent some time making my stars. They finished at 4 1/4”. I measured up everything and cut my sashing strips and put everything together. My little quilt now measures 18” x 22”.

My goal with this one is to keep it light with just pops of colour in the focal blocks. 😃

Thank you for stopping by. I do enjoy our visits and love getting to respond to your comments. 😃 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

    1. Thank you Sandra. This is such a fun challenge to keep up with. Hmm you might be right about the theme considering the direction my thoughts are going when I’m sitting at the machine sewing 😉
