I’ve had some fun over the past weeks doing some Pattern Testing for Sandra Healy Designs and indulging in some of her other fun patterns.
The first I did was the Cardinal block which became the centre medallion for my SAHRR. I’m on my final border for this quilt as I’m writing this.

Then I had to do the Squirrel block. It wasn’t a pattern test, but Sandra has so many fun designs. I do love my resident inner squirrel, Samantha and Samantha keeps me so busy, she needed a partner and shadow! 😉

Next up was a lovely Whale. The pattern includes two sizes to be able to make a Momma and a Baby. The pattern is available here.

Of course everyone knows that an ocean quilt needs a Beach Hut, so Sandra designed one in two sizes. This was a fun quick block to make and the direct link is here.

Next up was the Life Buoy in two sizes, 6 1/2” and 12 1/2” square. Such a fun little finish. 😉. Pattern is here.

After these fun blocks I just had to do the Seahorse which can be found here. I have the pattern printed and fabrics are cut, just need the time to sew it up. 😉

The 6” Anchor was fun. It took longer to cut the pieces than it did to piece the block 😉. Pattern is here.

I can tell you these patterns are very well written. If I had any issues it was misreading the pattern because my life was providing me with too many distractions.
Now I’m looking forward to doing a few more blocks that I have patterns for, and getting these cute blocks made up in to a fun quilt top.
I’m sending a special thank you to Wendy for introducing me to Sandra’s wonderful patterns, to Sandra for allowing me to test some of her sweet patterns, and to you for reading my post. 😄 Carol
