I hope you’ve all had a good week making progress on your lists. Mine wasn’t great for stitching time, but I did make a bit of progress on a couple of my projects.
My Last To-Do Goals:

I’m now volunteering 6 days a week in the Pro Shop n the clubhouse, renting carts and collecting golf fees. It’s fun when it’s busy, but when the weather is rainy I’ve had to resort to other ways of keeping myself occupied:

It’s fun seeing people’s faces and hearing their comments on my Featherweight and fabric choices 😁
Now it’s time to see how I did with my goals for the week:
1. Keep making some bags for the Christmas Hamper/Dinner event in December from everything I have kitted up. No progress 😢
2. Keep hand stitching in the evening to finish the needlepoint kit. Made some progress. ✅

3. Finish making my quilt top from my crumb blocks and leftover panel blocks. No progress on this one 😢

4. Keep working to empty my project bins. No progress 😢

5. Keep making some progress on the memory quilts from all of my family’s t-shirts or clothing. A couple more blocks quilted ✅

6. Finish the blocks for the quilt for C’s friend in Nova Scotia. I found the fabric and can report that I’ve made progress! ✅

7. Keep playing with the blocks I’ve made from Denise’s donated bits in one of her many Treasure boxes she sent of goodies now to get one of the quilt tops finished this week. Pressing is finished and sashing is being sewn on. ✅

8. Work on finishing my project for an upcoming hop. Some progress ✅

9. Finalize my plan for a project for my favourite Hop of the year. Project decided on. I’ve pulled fabrics; just need to press and start cutting! ✅

10. Keep Samantha and her squirrel buddies from distracting me or coercing me to start anything else new 🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️. Nothing new started and I’m not counting the projects I’ve added to my “Must Make List” 🤣✅
This Week’s goals:

Now it’s time to set my goals for the week.
1. Keep making some bags for the Christmas Hamper/Dinner event in December from everything I have kitted up.

2. Keep hand stitching in the evening to finish the needlepoint kit.

3. Finish making my quilt top from my crumb blocks and leftover panel blocks.

4. Keep working to empty my project bins.

5. Keep making some progress on the memory quilts from all of my family’s t-shirts or clothing. I think these blocks are multiplying while I’m sleeping.

6. Finish the blocks for the quilt for C’s friend in Nova Scotia.

7. Keep playing with the blocks I’ve made from Denise’s donated bits in one of her many Treasure boxes she sent of goodies now to get one of the quilt tops finished this week.

8. Work on finishing my project for an upcoming hop. The list is now posted and there will be lots of spooky inspiration for us all!

Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day. I just love her new logo!
I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year and 1 hour at the end of the week to tidy up and deal with my scraps. 🤔
- January 4/31
- February 2/28
- March 10/31
- April 12/30
- May 29/31
- June 28/30
- July 31/31
- August 30/30
- September 26/30
- October 4/4
- this week 7/7
- Previous Total: 172/270
- Total: 179/277
- Percentage = 64.62 %
I was able to get my stitching time in every day in spite of volunteering, trips to town for meds, and holding the final Golf Tournament of the year. I hope you all get to set and keep your goals for your Stitching Time and join Kate. 😁

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash. If I can plan trips to the studio I expect my stash to be reduced terrifically when I start making backings for all of the quilt tops I’ve got to do. 🤩
- Fabric Used: 0 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 15 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 9 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 90 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 200 50 yards this year but realistically I’ll be happy with whatever I manage. I’m lessening my goal since I’ve been using mostly scraps, leftover bits and donated treasures and since I’ll not be getting to use my longarm my backing fabric usage will be minimal.😉
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!
Memories of Quilts From the Past

Design Wall Mondays

Judy, at Small Quilts and Doll Quilts, hosts a linky party for “Design Wall Mondays” every week.
I’m including some photos of my current WIPs;

My UFO and WIP List
Last but not least I have to update my UFO Speadsheet and then try keeping it up to date and so help with my accountability now that I have gone through everything in my storage room and sewing space. I think I’ve given up on getting this updated. I might just wait and start fresh next year. 🫤.

Maybe you aren’t having lots of time to stitch, but you’ve done well at keeping up the minimum time this week. Does the golf course stay open during the winter? Or do they close for a few months?

The golf course dies close once the snow starts falling (which might be next week) but the restaurant leases are keeping it open all winter which is a first. I’m looking forward to the snow. It’s a different world here when it does! More stitching time and happy kids toboganning. 😆

You are sure busy. I’ve been trying to empty project boxes too, with minimal progress lately. It can be a big task.

Thank you Sara. Hopefully my busy time will slow down soon as the golf course closes and I can get back to playing with fabric more. Good luck emptying those project boxes. 😉

How fun to bring your cute little sewing machine in the club, and be able to sew there! It’s quite a tiny studio, but it looks like it’s working! Love the fish block. Thank you for sharing and linking up!

Thank you for hosting us Frederique. That stool is a bit low, but the set up works since Featherweights are so compact. I’m getting a bit more done on those fish blocks 😉

I love your makeshift sewing room at the club, Carol! Maybe it will spark someone’s interest to begin quilting. Have fun with your projects. Some progress is better than none IMHO! LOL Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings.
