Our weather has changed. We are no longer getting snow and we have dropped down in to the deep freeze š„¶. This photo was one I took last Monday. The forecast changed and by Friday we had a low temperature of -29 Celsius.

The good news I didnāt have to shovel any snow! š
It was a busy week with both meetings for my Guild and for the Golf Club, but I was content to stay home otherwise. I even made progress on my stitching time and my projects.
My Last To-Do Goals:
1. Keep working on my EPP, embroidery and leader/ender projects. No real progress š¢
2. Get caught up with the Rainbow Neighbourhood QAL hosted by Sandra Walker from MMM Quilts. Iād love to get this one done. My fabrics, pattern and blocks are back out š¢

3. Allow myself to keep playing on a couple of projects from the boxes of treasures I received from Denise as my leader/ender projects. I have been making progress.š

4. Start working on my projects for upcoming blog hops; One project is done and the second one is being worked on! Sorry but no sneak peeks allowed! š

5. Start planning for one of my favourite events of the year: I havenāt decided on my centre block, but do have several options. I think Iāve narrowed my choice down to either of two blocks. Canāt wait for the 15th when the fun begins. š
![](https://quiltschmilt.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/img_2902-1.png?w=294)
6. Pull my fabric selections for Project Quilting Season 15 projects and get ready to make a quilt in a week. š The first challenge went live on Sunday and I managed to get my project done. Unfortunately my internet was down for 2 days and I didnāt get it linked up. š¢

7. Work on/finish my pattern test. Almost finished. Blocks are pieced, top is almost assembled. Just need to quilt and bind it. š
8. Do not let Samantha or any of her squirrel buddies side track mešæšæšæšæ. Those squirrels are really running amok in my sewing space. While I was at the Guild for a meeting someone had to share a new library book with me and next thing I knew I was playing with some linen and thread! š³š¤šš

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day.
Iām trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year and 1 hour at the end of the week to tidy up and deal with my scraps.
- January 7/31
- this week 7/7
- Previous Total 0/365
- Total: 7/7
- Percentage = 100 %
I hope you all get to set and keep your goals for your Stitchng Time and join Kate. š

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash.
- Fabric Used: 1 yard
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 0 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 0 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 100 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards this year. I havenāt managed to actually figure out how much fabric I really have in my stash, but I have reduced my stash these past few years and really only purchase fabric if I need it for a particular project. If I do purchase fabric I add it to my Balance in stash to use this year in order to continue reducing my stash. š
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesnāt count as stash!
PHD in 2023
Quilting Gail was hosting PHD in 2023 Challenge but I heard a rumour from a very reliable source that someone else will be doing it this year. š

We have some very cold weather going on here, too, but not as bad as yours. Glad you can stay in and sew, rather than shovel snow! So happy you are joining in on the SAHRR!
