I Love Thursday #64

Each week I try to link up with LeeAnna of Not Afraid of Color for our weekly I Like Thursday posts. Taking the time to find things that I am grateful for, the things that spark joy, provide inspiration or provoke a chuckle can always make me realize how great life is.

I always enjoy my drive to the studio and seeing my favourite ferry dock can always make me smile.

Did I share the decorations that some of the staff on the ferry put up?

Even on a cold, blustery day this can always make me smile. 😄

The weather has changed again and we are back to snow, which means I got a break from the migraines of the past few weeks which I am grateful for.

Getting to the studio last night was extra special. I walked in the door and was greeted with the news that K does not have cancer. The 5 litres of fluid they removed from his lungs was one of the side effects of a bad reaction to the Covid vaccine. Other than that he has no heart issues and the specialist will look at the lump on his spinal cord to decide what’s next for this sweet guy. He even managed to get out this evening to do some shovelling while D and I were looking at her new to her sewing machine . I am so grateful for all of the messages, emails and prayers from all of my online friends. It has sure helped my keep positive these past weeks waiting for results.

I am beyond grateful to have had my sewing mojo return. Quilting has been my comfort these many years when I was stressed or upset. This past weeks have had some fun projects come together in my sewing corner.

Last, but not least, I’ll leave you with a chuckle for the day;

A greeting card shared by a friend 😉

Thank you for spending some of your time with me today. I do hope you have a wonderful Thursday and your week has been filled with fun, laughter and many things that make you happy. Do pop over to Not Afraid of Color to see what happy things our friends are sharing today. 😄 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  2. That is wonderful news – is K your son? I looked for an “About” page on you and am sorry to say I don’t know anything about you other than you are a wonderful person.
    What gorgeous scenery you have on your studio trips! I’m glad you’ve enjoyed some mojo – it’s like the tide coming back in, isn’t it? 🙂

    1. Hi Linda. K & D have been my best friends for 30+ years. She is my quilting buddy and he is the best husband, neighbour and friend ever. There actually is an about me page on my blog. Thank you for the compliment ☺️. I’m really thrilled to be at the studio for a couple of days and have a quilt on the longarm. Life can’t get much better, can it? 😉
