This week’s challenge for the Project Quilting Challenge was to do a silhouette in some way.
Last week I had done a pattern test for Sandra Healy Designs of a fun little Cardinal. Then Sandra sent me a copy of one of her other patterns; the squirrel.
Now anyone who knows me knows I have a resident squirrel that haunts my sewing space. My buddy Samantha often manages to sidetrack me with fun new projects, often disrupting my carefully planned schedules.
I do have a mini quilt of Sam hanging over my sewing machine.

Well I decided Samantha needed a shadow since she comes up with enough ideas to keep 2 quilters busy!
So here it is:

This was done with fabric, batting and backing from my scrap bins. I enjoyed playing with some fun quilting on my dsm using a favourite Aurifil thread. So happy to have another one done with such an easy choice of a project and I’m looking forward to hanging Sam’s Shadow when I get get home.
Thank you for stopping by to read my post. 😉 Carol
