I’ll be linking up with To-Do Tuesday which is now hosted by Linda from Texas Quilt Gal! I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone else is working on or have finished.
This week was another of daily power outages, rain and grey, gloomy skies and then for 2 glorious days; snow! It really lifted my spirits to see how bright, clean and pretty everything looked. I was also busy with projects and Quilting Days at my Guild.

Here in our Province, highways are still closed, towns are still evacuated and so many homes are still flooded from the “once in 500 year rainfall and flooding.” The recovery of the people, vehicles and bodies in the mudslides has been completed with one person still unaccounted for. Heartbreakingly 4 people died when their vehicles were swept off the road by the mudslides. It could have been so much worse with over 300 people being stranded, but Search and Rescue responded so quickly, and then our Armed Forces Personnel were called in to assist with search and recovery actions.
Last To-Do list:
1. Continue with my scrappy leader/ender project. Some progress.
2. Keep sewing my pieces for my EPP projects. No Progress.
3. Get the interfacing on the tshirt pieces and start making the blocks for the memory quilt. No progress.
4. Try to get another batch of goodies made to donate to the Christmas Hamper bin. 27 down, at least nine more to go. Finished my 36th project; knitted slippers that were then felted in the washing machine.

5. Spend some time 2 days this week sorting through the donations my Guild received for our annual fundraiser. 2 days done. 20 more (at least) to go before our fundraiser in April.
6. Get together with Lori, Brenda and Barbara to build and install the new shelves in our new storage shed. Done and boxes of priced goodies for our fundraiser are starting to fill the shelves. 😄

7. Host my quilting group at the Guild. With our Covid Protocols we are now in 2 groups, Thursday and Saturday. Done and so much fun!
8. Start preparing for another trip to the studio to spend some quality time with my longarm. Everything is organized; now I just need to sort out when I can go. 🤔
9. Do not let Sam or any other squirrels distract me this week. 🐿 Success! I wasn’t sidetracked by any squirrels. 😉
This week’s goals:
Here is my updated list of goals for this week:
1. Continue with my scrappy leader/ender project.
2. Keep sewing my pieces for my EPP projects.
3. Get the interfacing on the tshirt pieces and start making the blocks for Shawn’s memory quilt(s). Apparently I have another box of tshirts coming in the mail this week.
4. Finish my project and blog post for the next blog hop.

5. Concentrate on designing some quilts for the people who have lost their homes to the horrific floods and mudslides our Province is now experiencing with the atmospheric river dumping so much rain on some areas that had been affected by the wildfires earlier this year.
6. Try to get away to the studio for a few days to get some quilts finished on my longarm.
7. Do not let Sam or any other squirrels distract me this week. 🐿😳🐿
Stitchin’ Time

I’m trying for at least 15 minutes a day, but also want to at least spend 15 minutes tidying up and dealing with scraps.

- This 2 week period– 7/7
- Year To Date – 303/332
To see how our blogging friends are doing check out Kate’s blog: Life in Pieces

Stash Report:
- Fabric previous balance: 12 Yards
- Fabric Used: 0 yards
- Fabric Bought: 0 yards
- Balance in stash: 12 Yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards. 😅

You’ve made good progress – and look at all that snow! I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of lives, and hope that your area continues to come back after all that terrible stuff. What fun to see you ladies all working together to get those shelves up – great work! Is Samantha standing near, tapping her foot? Is Winnie with her – I can’t seem to find Winnie lately. Maybe she’s estivating . . .

Hi Wendy. It was so much fun with these ladies getting the work done. The snow is disappearing with another atmospheric river forecast for later today. Samantha and Winnie must be off somewhere together planning the many temptations they are planning to put in the forefront of our consciousness 😉

The weather has not been kind to your area, although the first snow is beautiful. Good luck on your week – you have plenty to keep you busy!

Thank you Kathleen. The snow was so nice to see, but we are back to unseasonal heavy rain. Another good day to stay in and fondle fabric or wool. 😉

I’m so sorry to hear about the devastation in your country. That snow looks beautiful, but I’m sure you were happy to see the sun. Sometimes seems like either feast or famine with Mother Nature. I am impressed with the shelf building! Good luck on keeping Sam quiet. Stormy has been strangely absent the last week or so, but I expect to hear whispering in my ear soon. 😉
Stay warm and enjoy your weekend, and thank you for linking to To Do Tuesday!

Hi Linda. The sun was beautiful, we had rain this morning and we are back to snow this evening 😳 Sam is starting to whisper sweet nothing so we will see if anything comes of it 😉. I’m sure Stormy will be chattering up a storm in your studio soon 😉

Thank you Cheree. It’s been a year of crazy wildfires and now incessant rain, flooding and mudslides but the snow might be coming back soon. It is pretty. It has also been a time of fun projects. Finishing the shed was so much fun!
