August OMG Check In

All in all August was a good month! Our Evacuation Alert was lifted so I was able to go to my studio for a few days and had sewing time almost every day.

My goal for August was to keep trying to finish up some projects:

1. Finish my Orange You Glad Blog Hop Project and get it posted on time. Done

2. Finish my scrappy string blocks by putting the corners on them. Not only were the blocks finished, but the quilt was put together, quilted, bound and donated to the Quilts For Lytton Drive.

3. Continue doing some mindless sewing using my scrappy precuts to make more quilt tops for the Quilts for Lytton Drive. I did finish another top but decided the background fabric didn’t work so I’ve removed the background and pulled a new fabric to use from my stash.

4. Check my stash again for border fabric for these 3 quilt tops for the Quilts for Lytton Drive. The scrappy log cabin was quilted and I’m hand sewing the binding. The other two are going to be quilted and all three will go to the Quilts for Lytton Drive on my next trip to the studio.

5. All of this will change if our evacuation alert is lifted, or if we are evacuated, and I can go to the studio. If either happens, I would like to set a goal of getting 4 more quilt tops from my To Be Quilted Bins out and finished. I did get to the studio so getting quilts done on the longarm was my priority. 😉

Thank you for spending some time with me and reading my crazy list of goals for the month. 😉 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.
