Friday Fun

Had more fun today playing with scraps.

I finished these blocks and got them together to flimsy stage;

Due to being on evacuation alert, I am not making my RSC blocks or doing the Scrappy Table Topper Challenge. Instead I am making scrappy quilts to be donated to the Quilts for Lytton Drive, for wildfire victims in a town in BC which burnt with only 15 minutes notice for the residents to evacuate.

I haven’t found anything in my stash that is just right for borders so this might have to wait until I go to my LQS.

I also had time to play with this lovely fabric pull while working on my idea for a project for the Orange You Glad Blog Hop:

I will know tomorrow if my design works or if I need to scrap it and start over. 😳

What have you been working on today? Something bright and fun I hope. 😉 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

    1. Thanks Gail. White isn’t my favourite to us but it does make the scraps pop! The smoke here is getting worse but there might be a drop or two of rain with the electrical storms. 🤞🏻😉

  1. Love your color pull for the hop. Unlike Wendy, I just couldn’t sign up for it…and really glad that I am taking it a bit easier in August. I really can’t wait to see yours. I’ll be in touch about sending quilts, once we get to Maine.
