Hello to all of you from a beautiful, hot, sunny golf course in beautiful British Columbia. Life is pretty special when you can wake up to a view like this every day:
I’m joining some friends who share posts of things that bring them joy and gratitude we all link up on LeeAnna’s blog Not Afraid of Color.
This week has been the start for us here in BC to be able to schedule our second shots as we become eligible. Yesterday I helped a friend book his second shot and know that in the next three weeks I will be booking 17 more appointments. I’m so grateful to have the knowledge and skill to be able to navigate the on line process and help my friends be safe.
I’m grateful for my family and so proud of how caring and thoughtful my grands are proving to be. My granddaughter Delaney is a member of the family that has moved to Mexico. Her best friend since preschool is very much missed by Delaney. They talk every day but Delaney decided her best friend needed a quilty hug to remind her friend how much she is loved. She asked me to make some additions and changes to a quilt top I had made from a beautiful pattern by Sandra Walker of MMM Quilts and get it finished for her friend. You can read all about it here.
I’m grateful to have the medical system we have here in Canada. It is so easy to be able to get the care and tests we need even in these days of Covid adjustments. Both DH and myself have some issues needing some tests and investigations and it’s been a relatively easy process so far.
In the meantime we get to continue on, him playing golf, me re-arranging my sewing space, having fun sorting out a gifted box of scraps and doing some new pattern tests. Life is sure never boring when you get to play with fabric.
I love humour and how it can lift our spirits.
Im finding it enjoyable to be able to listen to books while travelling to the studio (it wasn’t a long enough stay this time but I did get Delaney’s quilt done and was able to eat onions and garlic for a few days 😉) or to town for our appointments. It makes the time go by faster.
I was rewarded by the following site the day before yesterday when I returned from having some X-rays done;
My last share for the day is one of my greatest sources of joy;
Thank you for stopping by to read my post. I so appreciate your spending some time with me. 😉. Carol
Thanks for sharing. Your view is to die for! Absolutely wonderful!!!
And yes, playing with fabric and creating is such a joy!
