I had the opportunity several months ago to test a pattern for Joanne Kerton of Canuck Quilter Designs. I love her designs and always have fun pulling fabrics for her patterns.
As seems to be the case real life interfered and I wasn’t able to get it done as quickly as I would have liked. My mind was a bit off kilter so I had an issue when I was piecing the units. I ended up buying some more fabric and starting over.
It only took me two hours to cut all of the pieces since the instructions were so clear.
The piecing of the units and assembling the blocks took place over a couple of days. Again the instructions were clear and well written.
Here’s the top as I put the last couple of sashing strips on.

Then I tried to get a photo of the finished flimsy but our weather wasn’t co-operating. The best I could do was a photo on the freshly fallen snow.

I really enjoyed making Joanne’s pattern. It is available Here in her Etsy shop.
Now that the pattern is available you really do want to pick it up and do a two colour quilt. 😉 Carol
That’s a pretty design, and a pretty choice of fabrics. I hope your weather is coming around! We have a gloomy morning here, but I think the sun will break through soon.

Hi Wendy. It’s hot and sunny here and has been for a week. The post was written in the winter when I finished the test so it is a bit confusing 😉. I loved the teal green fabric. It just made me smile. Now I just need time to quilt it 😉

I’m so glad you enjoyed the pattern. Thanks for testing and sharing, Carol! I enjoyed seeing a close-up of that fabric. I knew the color was pretty, but now that I see the print too, I like it even more.
