My Weekly Goals – To Do Tuesday #60

Chris at Chris Knits is now hosting the weekly To-Do linky party and it’s always fun to go see what everyone has done and are planning To-Do.
This week has been a week of procrastination and missing mojo, but I went and got a haircut (first time since the Pandemic started). I’ve been making do with putting my hairstyling course to work and doing it myself. 🥴 Even the next day when I found the bits that got missed because they must have been caught in my mask straps couldn’t dull the boost! The other plus is with the weight of my hair lightened my migraines have lessened, which the weather had aggravated. As DH says “Junuary” (the month of rain) has arrived which is great for the bush.
Last week’s list:
1. Finish my secret sewing project for me. The 84 blocks are now completed. Just need to put it together. 😉

2. Keep working on a leader/ender project with my 2 1/2” scrappy squares. Ongoing.
3. Keep working on my next Blog Hop Project. Some progress.
4. Finish cutting the scraps. 🐿 Completed and put away. 😄
5. Start another pattern test. Fabrics pulled. Ready to start pressing fabric and cutting. 😄
6. Work harder to avoid the squirrels. 🐿🐿. No squirrels were harmed while keeping to this goal.
This week’s goals:

2. Keep working on a leader/ender project with my 2 1/2” scrappy squares
3. Finish my next Blog Hop Project.
4. Start cutting and sewing another pattern test.
5. Organize my goals for my next studio trip and re-organize my sewing space. It just doesn’t quite work. 😉

6. Work on RSC blocks; purple this month 😄
7. Keep working to avoid the squirrels. 🐿🐿

Thank you Gail. I’ve been sewing every day but just not inspired; no squirrel attacks 😉

Lots of good sewing, even if your mojo seemed missing. I haven’t cut my hair since the pandemic, though I did get a perm a couple of months ago. I can’t remember when I managed to grow it so long! Hoping it doesn’t all fall out now. LOL Love that blue fabric for the fairy tale.

Thanks you Susan. The sewing I did was filled with so many memories of past projects, fabric wins and of gifts from dear friends. It feels good to have my hair cut. If yours does fall out it might be curly when it grows back. My SIL’s did 😉

Thank you Kate. It was a good week in spite of the way I was feeling. Quite common to be feeling that from what I’m hearing and reading. 😉

Loved your photo a your secret project blocks – such a creative way to present them! So glad your headaches are better. I find that reorganizing my sewing room is very helpful – seems to be inspiring for me! Good luck with your goals this week!

Hi Mia. I seem to reorganize every couple of months as the seasons change. It just hasn’t become the “perfect” workspace yet. Must be the 4 1/2 sq ft limitation 😉

Well, by the progress you’ve made this week, it sure doesn’t seem like your mojo has gone missing! I’m continually impressed by how many test patterns you accomplish! Interesting that your haircut has lessened your migraines (I’m so sorry you have to deal with those). I haven’t had my hair cut since last fall – it’s long enough for me to clip up now. I’m debating whether to let it keep growing, or get it cut. No decisions, yet.

Hi Wendy. The sheer weight of my hair (it’s insanely thick and heavy) seems to aggravate the migraines. It is nice to have it cut and thinned. I can still put it up but it just barely touches my shoulders now. It had been almost to my waist again. Enjoy whatever you do with your hairstyle. Doing pattern tests keeps me sewing and the deadlines help motivate me 😉

Hi Carol! So glad your mojo returned. I don’t know how it could have been lost with all the things you manage to get accomplished. Isn’t it just the best – getting a hair cut?!! I just mine cut, too. Phew. It truly is a relief and a blessing. Yay to less migraines, for sure. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Can this mean you have a top near completion? Do we get to see the top before it is quoted? Thanks for linking up with To-Do! Good luck on your weekly goals.

Carol,
Your lists always impress me. I have the same lists (kinda-sorta) but they are in my head. It would really help if I wrote them down like you do. Keep impressing us with your organizational skills, we need it! Thanks for linking with design wall mondays, Judy

Thank you Judy. I confess I need to write lists or I forget things. I once missed a deadline for a commission by a day because I forgot I needed to hand sew the binding. 😒
