I Love Thursday #28

Have you checked out a group of friends posts listing the things that bring them joy that link up on LeeAnna’s blog Not Afraid of Color? It’s always fun to head over there and see what likes they are sharing this week.

My likes this week include joining in on blog hops and linky parties that help keep me moving projects forward and accomplishing goals each week. This past week I took part in the My Stitching Resolution 2021 Blog Hop which was hosted by Carla from Creatin’ In The Sticks. I also joined Gail from Quilting Gail with her PHD in 2021. My goal this year is to clean out 3 large totes of flimsies which need to be quilted on my new toy.

5 or 6 years of saving brought me this new toy which should be delivered next week if Covid allows 🤔

I love the fact that this year of so much trials, tribulations sickness and death is coming to an end with the promise of a return to normalcy possible next year with the creation of so many vaccines.

I love being able to spend our holidays safely by way of social media. Christmas had so many FaceTime visits and telephone calls with family and friends.

I love strudel filled with apples, cinnamon, raisins and pecans. I’m addicted to making it this winter 😉

I’m really enjoying some time with wool while waiting for DH at appointments for doctor visits and tests. I finished a simple, cozy shawl and started a new, more complex pattern with wool from the stash.

Working on a fade completed from my stash 😉

Thank you for stopping by to read my post, the last I Love Thursday in 2020! I love having you visit and your comments alway bring joy and happiness to my on line life? 😄 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Hi Carol! I can hardly wait for you to get to quilting on that new Avante! You’ll zoom through those totes of quilt tops, I’m sure of it. Such nice photos you’ve shared with us of your peeps. Happy New Year’s Eve to you and DH. Our’s will be a quiet celebration but I’m hoping 2021 can kick all the negative parts of 2020 to the curb for good. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  2. Hi Carol … thanks for sharing!
I’m excited to see your quilting on your new machine! FUN!!!
And the strudel makes me want to hop in my car and drive to your house! I’m not sure exactly where you live, but I’m sure I could get there in a day or two!
    Happy New Year!

  3. Ooh – wow, some GREAT likes! That machine! Have so much fun with that! And the strudel looks delicious. Isn’t it wonderful to see familiar faces, even if they’re still far away? Hopefully we can close that gap soon.
