Starting in 2011 Sarah from Confessions of a Fabric Addict has hosted this challenge to provide quilts to various charities.
2011: 47 quilters made 60 quilts
2012: 55 quilters made 94 quilts
2013: 65 quilters made 127 quilts
2014: 70 quilters made 145 quilts
2015: 67 quilters made 147 quilts
2016: 104 quilters made 194 quilts
2017: 125 quilters made 267 quilts
2018: 150 quilters made 416 quilts
2019: 200 quilters made 876 quilts
Sarah compiles a list of charities which need help. I emailed Sarah to see if she has a Canadian charity that I could support since cross border shipping is difficult these days and very expensive. She put me in touch with Linda Miller who will collect the donations for Victoria’s Quilts Canada. They ask for quilt tops, the binding and an extra 12 1/2” block to be sent. They sandwich, quilt and bind the top and make a presentation bag with the extra block.
As of today I have 3 quilt tops ready to go. I have also made an extra block which will be made in to a presentation bag and the binding for the quilt.
