The Winter Blues

It’s Coming Soon!

My day will be Wednesday, January 22, 2020.

How fun is that to write the New Year? Are you used to writing it yet?

Here’s a sneak peak of my fabrics and sewing fun.

The Winter Blues Project

It was so appropriate to start work on this when we were at the farm and it snowed and snowed.

4 hours of ploughing and the next day you couldn’t tell!

On the way to visit DH’s sister in law for her birthday after we left by the farm, we drove on a different route to see some of the glaciers in the Rockies. It was a bit sad (since I hadn’t seen them for a while) to notice how much they have shrunk, but the colours in the glacial ice were still spectacular. The memories of the ice colours was what inspired my fabric choices for this project.

Can you see the tip of the glacier snaking it’s way down the crevice? This glacier feeds the City of Calgary, Alberta’s water source.

Thank you for reading my post. I’m looking forward to seeing you all pop back when the Blog Hop fun begins. 😄 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

      1. Mine won’t be quilted either!! My longarm is 750 miles away and I can’t leave my dad, so I will just add my flimsy to the 50+ I have waiting at home.
