A while back I discovered The Quilt Pattern Magazine, an on line magazine. I really enjoyed the issue and when I found out I could test patterns I was thrilled!
I’m so excited to finally be able to show some of the finishes I have had over the past few months. Now this one, Harlequin was a joy to finish on July 12.
The quilt was designed by Nancy Noah and finishes at 88 1/2″ x 88 1/2″ and is a round robin project. I found the pattern to be well written and easy to follow.
If you enjoy a medallion quilt this is one you will really like. It keeps you paying attention but was so much fun as each round was completed.
The pattern can be found here The Quilt Pattern Magazine
I had so much fun with this flying geese border, I’m sure it will be one I will use with some variations again. I will admit now that I disliked doing flying geese borders until I did this one. 🥴 creating the waves was intriguing.
I will update this post when I get it quilted and bound. It is in the cue now.
Do go to the website to check out some great patterns, QALs and quilty goodness. I have discovered some new to me favourite designers and I’m sure you will, too!
I love the quilt pattern Magazine
Have fun with fabric and thanks for stopping by! 😄 Carol
Hi Carol! I just recently learned how to design a border like that in EQ8, and I agree that it sure looks cool. I’m not big on medallion quilts but maybe I need to give them a try sometime. Just designing them is kind of fussy, trying to get the borders to work out perfectly on all sides. ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Roseanne. I really enjoyed that border. I’d love to get EQ8 to be able to use the computer to design my quilts. I do it with pencil and paper! 😉 Carol
