It’s my favourite way to start a new year; doing the SAHRR which is the brainchild of Quilting Gail.
For my center I could not make up my mind which block to use of these 3:

Our lovely friend Brenda from Songbird Designs gave us our first prompt; the Hourglass Block.
I had fun playing with scraps for this one:

I made some Hourglass blocks to go with my other 2 blocks, (still not sure of my fabric choices as I look at them together, but I’ll see how it goes), but am waiting to see what the next prompt is to decide how to progress with these. I have a plan for them and don’t want them to be too large!

Have you joined the SAHRR? It’s not too late to do so if you haven’t. it’s really one of my favourite QAL events of the year.
Thanks for stopping by. Do pop over to Brenda at Songbird Designs blog to see the creative ways everyone is using the Hourglass Block in their Stay at Home Round Robin projects.
Next prompt will be forthcoming from another favourite Kathleen from Kathleen McMusing.

I like where you are going with your blocks, Carol! I really like the border for the panel!

I like the farm scene with the black and tan hourglass blocks (if you are asking for a vote), just because it is so charming. Fun to see you in SAHRR! 🙂

Thank you Emily. It’ll be almost as much fun making it as watching how everyone else interprets these prompts. I love your SAHRR 😉
