Happy New Year

As 2025 comes to an end, it’s time to look back, treasure our memories with family and friends, be proud of our accomplishments, shed some tears for our losses, and start looking forward to the joy and adventures in the New Year.

I was happy to be able to fit in some stitching time this year with a few quilts and projects finished, or at least to flimsy stage. I’m working on my 2026 UFO and WIPs lists.

I did a lot with the Golf Club and we are ending the year in a better position than we had predicted. our new Board is great to work with and all have such positive energy.

I also enjoyed my time at my Guild; being elected as treasurer, teaching and hosting quilting days, and volunteering as the co-ordinator for our Annual Fundraiser. The organizing work start in earnest next week. We already have a shed full of donations to sort and price! It could be another good year since we haven’t started advertising for donations yet!

DH and I are ending 2025 quietly. We normally spend our New Year’s Eve at home. He doesn’t manage to stay awake late now. I usually get him in to bed between 7:00 – 8:30. My sleep habits are very erratic. Some days I can get to bed at 11:00 and others it’s 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning so I likely will get to watch the ball drop while I’m doing some hand stitching. 😉

Wishing all the best for you and your families. I’m hoping 2026 will be a safe, happy, healthy year for us all. 🤗 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.
