Hello and welcome to my Sunday Summary and To Do Tuesday List.
I hope you all have had a great two weeks since I was last able to share a post and that you managed managed to get some progress on your To-Do Lists.
Unfortunately I’ve been sidetracked from my sewing corner. My best friend D was diagnosed with the big C and we are just waiting to see when her surgery is. DH has had a number of medical appointments and his daughter was in the area for a visit. I managed to spend some time with our retiring Treasurer at my Guild since I have just been appointed Treasurer by our Board. I also have had two fundraising weekends for the Golf Club and numerous meetings.
This week might allow for more sewing days, but my wonderful sewing schedule is already off. I’ve not even been able to squeeze 15 minutes in some days! 🤔
My Last To-Do Goals:
1. Keep working on my EPP, embroidery and embroidery sampler as time and my eyesight allow. No Progress, but I do finally have an appointment to see the specialist on Feb.21! 😁
2. Continue plugging away at the memory quilts for my son, granddaughters and Clarke’s family from a collection of T-shirts from my son, DIL and granddaughters and our Clarke’s clothing.😁. I did manage to get some more blocks assembled, but then ran out of stabilizer. Heading to town tomorrow and fingers crossed they will have some in stock at my least favourite LQS.

3. Keep playing with the orphan blocks and goodies from Denise, with some additions from my stash, to use up more bits and pieces until those project boxes are empty. I’ve managed to play a bit more and have made some progress.

4. Finish making the blocks from my crumb blocks now that Monique has handed me another huge bag of brightly coloured scraps. 😉 I’ve finished cutting the pieces I needed to convert these to the blocks I need to be able to assemble the quilt. Now I just need to test sew a block to see if it will work as I hoped! 🤔

5. Finish the pattern test. Should be done this week!
6. Get caught up with Gail from Quilting Gail’s Mystery QAL. No more progress yet. 😢

7. Start piecing the borders to get this to a finished flimsy if I can find it. I seem to have misplaced it and I’m thinking I filed it in one of the bins under my cutting table. This has to be found and moved to the top of the list. 🤔 I’ve still not found it! I think I might have left it at the studio so I might need to remake it. I have to have a green quilt done soon.

This little quilt needs to be 48” x 84” when it’s done. Decisions need to be made how to add more borders! 🤔
8. I need to get myself organized because Gail from Quilting Gail just announced that she and several of my favourite bloggers are going to do what to me signals the start of the year! Yes the SAHRR 2025 will be starting this week. Life has interfered in this project! They are on the second clue already. I’ll get caught up this week. 🤞🏻

9. Do not let Samantha or any of her squirrel buddies side track me🐿🐿🐿🐿. Success! The only sidetracking was done by life outside my sewing corner.
This Week’s goals:
I have no idea yet how much stitching time I’ll manage, but I’m still doing my list and keeping my hopes up🤞🏻
Now it’s time for my new To Do Tuesday List:

1. Keep working on my EPP, embroidery and embroidery sampler as time and my eyesight allow.
2. Finish the pattern test. This is now a priority.
3. I need to get myself organized because Gail from Quilting Gail and some of my other favourite on line friends have already announced round 2 on the SAHRR 2025.

4. Continue plugging away at the memory quilts for my son, granddaughters and Clarke’s family from a collection of T-shirts from my son, DIL and granddaughters and our Clarke’s clothing.😁

5. Keep playing with the orphan blocks and goodies from Denise, with some additions from my stash, to use up more bits and pieces until those project boxes are empty.

6. Finish making the test block from my crumb blocks to see if my design idea will work as I had planned.

7. Get caught up with Gail from Quilting Gail’s Mystery QAL. 🤩

8. Check to see if I left this at the studio. This has to be found and moved to the top of the list. If I didn’t leave it at the studio I will have to remake it since I have to deliver a finished green quilt soon.

9. Assemble these blocks to a flimsy and decide on adding borders at that time.

10. Do not let Samantha or any of her squirrel buddies side track me🐿🐿🐿🐿.
Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day. I just love her new logo!
I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year and 1 hour at the end of the week to tidy up and deal with my scraps. I wasn’t really off to a good start, but it is getting better as things settle down in my real life time and commitments lessen. 🤔
- January 4/31
- these weeks 6/14
- Previous Total 11/11
- Total: 17/25
- Percentage = 68 %
I hope you all get to set and keep your goals for your Stitching Time and join Kate. 😁

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash. If I can plan trips to the studio I expect my stash to be reduced terrifically when I start making backings for all of the quilt tops I’ve got to do. 😁
- Fabric Used: 0 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 12 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 0 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 188 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 200 yards this year. My goal this year is to use 200 yards of fabric from my stash. Last year I ended up using 156 yards so I’d like to continue working from my stash. 😉
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!

I’m so sorry to hear the news for D. Life has been rough for her lately! You take care, too – you have a lot going on! You’ll get caught up on the SAHRR, I’m sure.

Thanks Wendy. I really need some time with my machine for fabric therapy. 🤗

Fingers crossed that D’s big C is treatable with surgery and chemo. That’s a lot on your plate the last few weeks. Hope you can fit in some sanity stitching to help with all the stress. Good luck with your to do list for the week.

Thank you Kate. Your well wishes mean a lot. It’s been pretty crazy here but some stitching time helps. 🤗
