Hello and welcome to this week’s linky party. 😁
I’m writing this as the snow has quit falling and temperatures have dropped. DH and I are tucked in with no need to go out until I have to attend meetings for both the Golf Course and my local Guild. With the probability of losing power in these winter conditions, I’ve got everything ready to go. The inverter just needs to be plugged in so DH has his internet, the propane heater is ready to go with new tanks, battery powered lanterns are set with new batteries, my headlamp has new batteries so I can do some hand stitching, and I have plenty of options for a quick meal which can be done on the propane barbecue. I think I’m ready! 😉
Last week we had 19 posts linked to our party (and once again I didn’t because I had no photos I could share 😢). Today is my day to visit to cheer everyone on. It’s been a busy week with not much on line time so I’m late. Update: I visited everyone but had an issue again trying to leave comments. I did see everyone’s lists and lovely projects, commented where I could and am cheering you all on. 😁

Now it’s time to join this week’s party!
- This linky party is for any project – It can be in-progress or a finished piece.
- You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features one of your projects.
- If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. There will be a linky party available every week!
- This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
- Following or commenting on my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!
- You are invited to the Inlinkz link party
Thank you for stopping by, for linking your posts and sharing our party with all of your friends. I’ll be visiting you all to cheer you on this week and can’t wait to see your progress. 😁 Carol

Hopefully you don’t lose power and you can get in some good stitching time while watching the snow fall.

Thank you Kate. In a normal winter we often lose power for up to 15 hours at least a dozen times. So far this winter has been only once since the little snow we got earlier all melted. Now it’s snowing again it’s likely to happen again the prep is just something I normally do in November 😉, not January!

Good luck with keeping your power! Wishing you would send some of that snow down to north Texas. 😉

Hi Linda. Haven’t lost power yet but I’m sure we will. It’s common here. The prep usually gets done in November but our snow all melted. Just finished shovelling 6-8 inches. Wish I could share with you. 🤗

Hi Carol! Oh, I hope you do not lose power. We are in a similar boat today with wet heavy snow due later today but right now it’s raining. I’m so thankful to be snuggly inside and warm. Thanks for the linky party, Carol. I’m off to check for some new projects that others are sharing. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Roseanne. I’m ready when we do lose power (it’s almost guaranteed with this snow) so I’m not fretting about it. Be careful if you are out and about in the snow. I’m seeing so many new projects to add to my Myst Make lists. The inspiration has me wanting to spend all my time sewing (again). 😉🤗

You are good to go, all tucked in and ready! The photos you’ve posted of all the snow are beautiful. We have so little here this season (so far).

Thank you Wendy. Just shovelled 6-8 inches of that very welcome white stuff. Wish I could share it with you because I always enjoy seeing the photos you take when your snow is/has come down. 🤗

Just discovered your link-up when I saw it listed on posts from other link ups. Look forward to joining in on this one this year. I’ve done “lists” and “accountability” link ups in the past and they have often helped keep me focused when the quilt space “squirrels” start running around furiously, LOL!!

Hi Vivian. Welcome to our party. We DO need to do whatever we can to keep Samantha and her squirrel buddies in check. 😉🐿️🐿️🐿️

I live where there is no snow so don’t have that experience of having to be prepared as you do. It sounds a little daunting but I guess when you are prepared it helps!

Hi Kathryn. I love where I live and along with the beauty and access to incredible views and amazing nature, comes the risk of power outages, and sometimes too close encounters with bear, cougar, etc. I would not change my home until I’m too old to deal with shovelling snow. 😉

Thank you! The power outages have been short so far so life is good. 🤗

By your prep it sounds like you live in an RV?

Hi Marsha. I actually live in a suite in the basement of a golf course clubhouse. Our heat is electric so when the power goes out we have no heat and no stove so we use the propane stove in the clubhouse and have a propane heater. 😁
