SAHRR – The Fifth Round

I’ve been having a lot of fun sewing along with the SAHRR.

See the QAL schedule below:

I have to say a huge thank you to Gail and the rest of the quilty crew that is keeping us motivated with my favourite QAL to start my year.

The prompt this week was from Emily at The Darling Dogwood and it was the Square in a Square or Economy Block.

With this border added on my little quilt is now 32” x 34”.

Now that I’m looking at my quilt I realize that I should have put coping strips in between the borders as Wendy from Pieceful Thoughts of my Quilting Life did on her SAHRR. I’m not going to take it apart to start over or this will be too large for my final project so I will just consider it a learning experience since my goal with the project was to be able to do the math to add various sized blocks and borders in one project. 😉 The finished sizes of the blocks range from the 1” hourglass blocks to the 12” center block.

I’m looking forward to seeing how I can use the next prompt from Gail to do what I have tentatively planned with my little quilt. 😅

Thank you for stopping by. I do enjoy our visits and love getting to respond to your comments. 😃 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Your SAHRR is really cute, I love your center. On to the last round now. You’ve done so well at keeping up. Fingers crossed my version is done by the time we get to the parade.
