My Weekly Recap & To Do Tuesday #129

Last goals:

1. Keep working on my hand quilting, EPP projects and leader/ender projects. Some progress on several of these projects. 😃

2. When I get back to the studio next, make the time to quilt my version of A Roll of the Dice which is back on the frame.

3. Finish my second Heading North quilt, designed by Sandra of MMM Quilts. No progress.

4. Keep working on my Dresden blocks and Double Wedding Ring quilt in between my other projects. No progress on the Dresden’s, but I’m starting to make my rows of blocks for the Double Wedding Ring.

5. Work on the last of the bindings that need to be stitched. Didn’t happen since I had left the last one at the studio. 😢

6. Keep working on my project for Little Green Apples Blog Hop hosted by Carol from Just Let Me Quilt. Some progress! 😃

7. Keep working on my pink RSC Challenge blocks.

8. Work on my SAHRR border once the next prompt is posted. This is one of my favourite QALs of the year and I enjoy working along with Quilting Gail and all of our quilty friends prompts each week. I’m caught up!

9. Do the new Project Quilting Challenge when it is posted. PQ 14.4 A Novel Project – my Charlotte’s Web Mug Rug/gift card holder is done. FPP, Quilted and backed. Just waiting for the book to arrive so this can be gifted. 😃

10. Do not allow Sam or any of her squirrel friends to distract me at all this week. 🐿💕🐿

Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day.

I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year, and have my week set as Sunday to.

  • January 31/31
  • February 18/18
  • this week 7/7
  • Previous Total 42/42
  • Total: 49/49
  • Percentage = 100 %

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash.

  • Fabric Used: 0 yards
  • Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
  • Fabric Previous Balance: 100 yards
  • Balance in stash to use this year: 94 yards

* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards this year. I haven’t managed to actually figure out how much fabric I really have in my stash so it just seems reasonable to keep working from stash. I have reduced my stash these past few years and really only purchase fabric if I need it for a particular project. 😉

* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!

Had to copy this from Quilting Gail’s blog. I still haven’t succumbed.😉

PHD in 2023

Quilting Gail is hosting her PHD in 2023 Challenge again this year.

Thank you for stopping by and reading my post. Your comments make my day and I do reply to each one. 😉 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. I really like the progress you made on #1. The colors are gorgeous. I’m jealous of your restraint — no buying any fabric for almost 2 months. Good for you. And, sewing everyday is super. I’ve sewn most days but as you know it’s a busy week here. I did get a block sewn today. If I blog tomorrow it will be the only thing I have to share. Have a great weekend.

  2. Your stitching time metrics are really good, hopefully that didn’t change this last week. Your SAHRR is looking good, I’m far from caught up, but hope to make good progress tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing how you approached this week’s prompt.
