Here it is the last month of the year 2021 and it’s time to see if we met our goals for the month to be able to link up with Elm Street Quilts.
I’m working on a new pattern or two to help me use up the contents of my pre cut scrap bins. My goal was to get a couple of quilt tops finished and patterns written. I have the blocks for one top made and great notes to write my pattern.
For those of you who read my blog, you already know my month got completely sideswiped when one of my best friends collapsed at work. His wife had been left incapacitated after a heart attack a while back so after work he comes home to cook meals and do housework. My longarm is set up at their place so I try to get there as much as possible to help with housework, meal prep and take some time to play on the longarm. This month my time has been split between home; taking care of my DH, getting him to medical appointments, getting our boosters (and having a reaction), and my friends place; helping with household chores, getting K. back and forth to tests, hospital stays and appointments to deal with his diagnosis and helping my best friend D. stay calm. Add to that trying to celebrate Christmas, travel time and frigid temperatures there hasn’t been much time for sewing or longarming.
While I was at the studio I did manage to do a proper list of all of the quilt tops in my bins so I really know how many need to be finished.

So this month I did manage to get a few more hexies hand sewn. I almost have enough done to start actually putting my piece together.

I also do have the blocks completed to start putting a quilt top together from the some of the leftover scraps.

In closing I’d like to wish you all;

I appreciate you taking the time to visit my blog, reply to all of your comments and appreciate you taking the time to switch to my home page and follow my blog. 😉 Carol

Happy New Year, Carol! You’ve had quite the holiday season, with much unanticipated activities. (Sorry to hear about the booster reaction!)

Thank you Wendy. It has been an end to a year, but it’s all good. I still have a couple of days to try to finish up something and only one more travel day once the deep freeze weather eases a bit. 😉☃️

Happy New Year! You have been so so busy! I am glad you got to your list for 2022, I am just starting mine and amazed at what I have lined up, and I want everything done by April. I know there are things that I am forgetting, so we will see what happens. I hope your friends are doing better; I imagine they are through your valiant efforts. Good luck trying to squeeze something in – I am just feeling like I can begin to sew tomorrow after being away for almost 10 days. Best wishes to you as you finish the year and launch into 2022!
