It’s time for Yvonne at Quilting Jetgirl’s annual link up to help with setting goals and plans for the new year.
My goals for last year were twofold:
1. Learn to use my new toy once it was set up.

It was so much fun to learn how to put quilts on the frame and I played with pantos, ruler work and FMQ. So much fun!
2. See the totes in the next photo? They were filled with my unquilted tops, complete with backing, binding and extra fabric in case I decided to make any of the quilts larger.

I did get some UFO’s finished but still have 2 more bins to go. In my defence the studio is a five hour drive away so I only get there once in a while for a few days. 😢
I did finish several quilts even got the binding on and most are already donated or gifted:

My goal for 2022 is to finish the quilts that are in those bins, and complete each and every new project I start in the upcoming year. I’m hoping to be able to continue doing some pattern testing for all of the wonderful designers I have been assisting. I would also be happy to continue with the charity quilting I have been doing.
Thank you for stopping by to read my post.
Happy New Year to you all 🥳 Carol

A good year for you and the recipients of those lovely quilts! Hooray for working through the pile, and here’s to hoping that you can get to the studio a little more regularly in 2022!

Thank you Kathleen. I’m guessing I will be at the studio more this year with K & D going through their major health issues. Isn’t it great that I can help my friends and play on my longarm at the same time 😉

I hope this coming year gives you more opportunities to get to the long arm studio so you can tackle those bins. You’ve done well this year with your goals.

Good luck with working through your bins of WIPs. I am surprised to read that your studio is five hours away… so fingers crossed, that you can visit it often. All the best for 2022! xo Melanie

Hi Melanie. It is a distance to get to the studio, but my DH wants to live in the suite on a golf course in the clubhouse he built 30+ years ago. He has MS so living here keeps him moving 😉. Merry Christmas to you and thank you for your comment 🎄
