I’ll be linking up with To-Do Tuesday which is now hosted by Linda from Texas Quilt Gal! I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone else is working on or have finished.
Last To-Do list:
First off, let me tell you it’s been a week. Power outages, broken plumbing fixtures, having to be at the Guild to deal with a huge donation for our annual fundraiser (35 large bins and 27 moving boxes full) with 3 more donations coming in over the weekend and more next week.
On top of that, this happened:

Luckily I do have backup, my class machine:

1. Continue with my scrappy leader/ender project. Some progress.
2. Keep sewing my pieces for my EPP projects. Some Progress.
3. Get the interfacing on the tshirt pieces and start making the blocks for the memory quilt. No progress.
4. Finish hand stitching the bindings on these two quilts. One Done and donated. 😄

5. Finish the second pattern test by sandwiching, quilting and binding it. Just need to finish sewing the binding and here’s a sneak peek at the fabrics:

6. Finish 2 more Blog hop projects. One is finished and post is written. The second is well under way.
7. Do better at avoiding the squirrels for at least a couple of weeks. 🐿 Didn’t happen. Samantha reminded me it’s time to get some goodies made to donate to the organization that does the Christmas hampers for low income families and seniors.
This week’s goals:
Here is my updated list of goals for this week:
1. Continue with my scrappy leader/ender project.
2. Keep sewing my pieces for my EPP projects.
3. Get the interfacing on the tshirt pieces and start making the blocks for the memory quilt.
4. Finish the hand sewing the binding on the other quilt.

5. Finish the second pattern test by hand sewing the binding.

6. Finish my project and post for the:

7. Keep working on Samantha’s newest project: the goodies for the Christmas Hampers.
8. Do not let Sam or any other squirrels distract me this week. 🐿😳🐿

I think Samantha has given you a worthy squirrel project, so no worries there! I’m so sorry to hear about your machine? Maybe Santa will bring a new one??

Hi Wendy. I am content with Sam’s new project. It’s making me get really creative with my leftover blocks 😉 As for Betsy, she earned her keep! I have a new machine at the studio and my class machine here so I don’t think a new one is in the cards until the spring. Then I’ll update and have to decide what works best for at home. The issue here is my 4 1/2 square feet of space 😁

As sad as it is to give up a favorite machine, it’s always fun to get a new one. 🙂 I’m a Pfaff girl myself. The built in differential feed is game changer.

Sounds like I need to look at the new Pfaff machines! I’ve always been a Janome girl. I own 2 working ones, but need a new one for home. I was looking at the new MC models, but might need to widen my horizon! 😉

Too bad about your sewing machine, especially on top of your crazy week. Is the class machine an Eversewn? The fabrics on that pattern test peek are so pretty!
Good luck with your list and finding a replacement. I can’t begin to advise, but I’ve owned two Janomes and can vouch for their dependability.
Thank you for linking to To Do Tuesday! 🙂

Hi Linda. Thank for your sweet comment. My class machine is actually a Janome New Home. It’s a model they came out with during the Pandemic. My favourite shop managed to get a shipment of them the day before I took my other Janome in for repair so I was able to pick up my backup machine. I also have a Janome MC 9450 and MC11000 at my studio. They just don’t fit here in our apartment. 🥲

So sad your main machine has stitched it’s last. At least you do have a back up. You’ve got some fun projects in the works. Hope you had a good week on both the stitching time and getting a few to dos checked off the list.
