I’m joining a group of friends who get together via a linky party on LeeAnna’s blog Not Afraid of Color each week to share list of things that bring them joy, inspire them or make them laugh.
I am very grateful for our amazing group of firefighters that have been working so hard to get our wildfires under control.

As you can see from the above photo we are no longer under Evacuation Alert. All of my friends who were evacuated have now been allowed to return to their homes. Life can now return to our “new normal”.
Our firefighters were assisted by cooler temperatures, a wee bit of rain and the forecast is showing the possibility of more rain.

I am enjoying the cooler temperatures and the lesser smoke filled skies. I’ve even been able to get out for walks a couple of days.
I love seeing the beautiful flower bed and hanging baskets our volunteer at the golf course has been able to build this year. They have all filled out so nicely and are showing such pretty colours.

Salads continue to bring me so much pleasure at this time of year. Last night I had another version of Greek salad with some leftover black olives.

I still miss being able to have onions in my food, but being able to watch DH head out to golf is such a great trade off!
This last week brought a fresh batch of photos from my grand DIL.
It’s so much fun to see how much Clarke enjoys helping her Daddy work on vehicles (which is such hard work it means she needs a nap on Mommy’s lap!) and find places to climb in to or on to. Books and colouring are favourite pastimes! ❤️
Grace is growing like crazy and does love her big sister. She loves it when Clarke climbs into her crib to visit and will even share her soother with her! ❤️
Are you having “those” days when it just feels like things aren’t quite right? I am!

I’ve decided to play with a hand sewing project. It’s time to tackle an EPP project that I’ve been wanting to do. Fabrics are pulled and ready for cutting. Everything is organized in the kit bag I made for the Born To Be Wild Blog Hop. Wish me luck trying something that is brand new to me!

Another thing that brings me joy is getting another blog hop project finished. This one is for the Orange you Glad Blog Hop coming up later this month.

Thank you for stopping in to read my post. I appreciate it when you click on the follow button and enjoy responding to your comments. 😉 Carol
Glad you were able to get out and walk for a change, and that the temps are cooler and things are hopefully taking a good turn as far as the fires. Those littles are so cute! Are you making a Moravian star EPP? I’m so tempted to try that. Really like those colors for the orange project, too!

Hi Wendy. The fire seems to be getting more controlled so that’s great. The pattern I’m doing is the Wicked Hex EPP Mini by Libs Elliot. It looks like fun? 😆

Love that you are no longer under evacuation alert! And that friends have been able to move back home! Hopefully, more rain will fall this weekend … for more areas of the province!
Happy quilting! 🙂

Hi Gail. Seeing rain on the forecast is a real boost to our firefighters morale I’m sure. Glad you enjoyed my littles. 😉

Hi LeeAnna. Isn’t my Tupperware baby just the cutest little imp? I’m so sorry you’ve got that nasty thick smoke now and heat, too! I know your part of the world is suffering with wildfires, rising numbers and people not thinking. Sending a hug my friend.
