Wednesday’s News

We are off Evacuation Alert!

The crews have done an incredible job of building fire breaks and containment lines. It helped that we had a drizzle of rain again last night. It was enough to wash the cinder and ash off the car and somewhat clear the air.

I can even see the mountain ridges this morning.

From what I am reading and hearing there has been no lives or property losses so far. The fire was kept to the back country and bush. Now we just have to hope that the residents of Lemon Creek and Slocan are as lucky as we have been.

Thank you to all of you for your messages, emails and prayers. It did make the waiting game more bearable.

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.
