I can’t believe how fast these weeks seem to go. I just now realized it’s Thursday, the day where a group of bloggers get together over on LeeAnna’s blog Not Afraid of Color to share things that bring them joy.
My week has been taken up with writing a pattern for this scrappy quilt, “Scrappy Chain” which a reader had requested. I wrote the pattern using either 2” squares or 2 1/2” squares. It took so much time because the flimsy is sitting in a bin at my studio waiting to be quilted on the frame so I couldn’t just pull it out to measure anything and I couldn’t find my notes; just the one photo. 😉

Other than pattern writing, my week has been filled with walks to enjoy the scenery on our beautiful golf course.

A couple of trips to town for medical appointments and a stop at a favourite Quilt Shop to pick up some supplies I needed for a couple of pattern tests completed my list of happy things this week.

Thanks for stopping by. I do hope you have checked out the rest of the bloggers post that link up on LeeAnna’s blog. 😉 Carol
Oh, that view almost makes me want to take up golfing again! So pretty! Do you keep track of how many quilts you test in a year? Just curious.

Hi Wendy. It’s so much fun last year and again this year on the course….so many young parents with their kids having fun. The seniors are actually outnumbered these days. Yes I do keep track of my pattern tests and write one page to add to my blog at the end of the year with all of my finished projects and pattern tests. Usually between 12 and 45 was the busiest year. It always surprises me when I do keep track. 😉

Hi Carol, wow, those mountain views on the golf course are spectacular for sure. What a beautiful quilt and how clever you are to do pattern writing. I have a hard enough time just following one never mind writing one! Take care now.

Hi Jocelyn. I will admit to loving my view. It does fill my heart. I’m happy you liked the quilt. I don’t write a lot of patterns but often just make them up as I’m playing with fabric. It’s the writing that I stall out on. 😉

Thank you Sally. I am lucky with my scenery and batiks are always a happy thing to see or share I think 😁
