My list from last week did have some progress and I must say I’m content!
This is what my view is like now:
I woke up this morning to cinder and ash on the car, but it could be so much worse. My heart is hurting watching the news on the fires, and other weather catastrophes in America.
1. Finish cutting and start sewing 3 new pattern test projects. Fabrics are pulled from the stash and 2 are cut!
2. Complete my Blog posts for 2 September Blog Hops and get the binding on the second hop project. Posts are written and binding is on!
3. Cut fabrics and sew my project for the October Blog Hop Project. I changed my mind, printed a new pattern, pulled fabrics and started cutting.
4. Start designing a quilt for a very special granddaughter. She actually has picked colours and made design requests for this quilt. Still drafting pattern with some minor adjustments to make my granddaughter happy. 😉
My list of goals for the upcoming week is;
1. Finish cutting and start sewing 3 new pattern test projects.
2. Continue working on my project for the October Blog Hop Project.
4. Finish drafting the pattern for a quilt for a very special granddaughter.
I’m stopping there and not adding anything else to my list. I looked at my calendar and have to be realistic. Life will be interfering with my fabric time this week!

Good morning, Carol! I think your granddaughter has a fabulous eye for fabrics. I cannot wait to see what pattern she chose for her quilt using them. Yay for advancing all the items on last week’s list. Good idea keeping this week’s list nice and short especially if you have appointments that are going to interfere with your fabric time. Hi Roseanne. I’m so pleased one of my granddaughters is showing an interest in our love of fabric. I’m hoping this week will show some progress but trying not to pressure myself 😉

We can smell the smoke from the wildfires here and see a light haze in the skies. Your view is quite something, very sobering, when considering the loss of homes and lives. I’m having a difficult time settling on the project for the October blog hop, but I think I’ve got it. Just need to get going on it! Curious to see what you are making!

Wendy the smoky skies are rather sobering and making it hard to concentrate knowing the losses others are experiencing. This year just keeps kicking us for sure. Settling on projects is sometimes difficult but I’m glad you decided for the October Hop. Looking forward to seeing all the inspiration over this month and next. 😁

I remember when I was in Canada (years ago) during the wildfires there and having the similar view (and scent of smoke each morning). Your granddaughter has a knack for choosing fabrics. She’ll make a great quilter! Have a great week!

It was hazy here again last night. The sun set was bright red/orange! You have some wonderful projects ahead! I’m excited to see them!

Your Grand daughter picked some gorgeous fabric, my favorite color! The fires are so devastating and mind blowing. I am still deciding on projects for the Sept and Oct hops, I need to hurry up!

Hi Vicki. My grand does have a good eye for colour, doesn’t she? I can almost see my mountains today! Good luck cleaning on sorting out your hop projects. I was glad I had some ideas when I signed up! 😉

Love the turquoise fabrics. Darn, do we really need to be “realistic” about our time? Some weeks I get way more than I plan done, others, not so much. Sorry to I can’t see your lost mountains. Here in the Mid-Atlantic states we are having haze that the meteorologists say is because of the West’s fires. It’s got to be some much worse for those living closer.
