December OMG link up

I knew that December was going to be a month of very little sewing time. We were committed to go to Alberta to farm sit for two weeks and get some quality visiting time in with family.

My goal for the month was to get my project done for The Winter Blues Blog Hop (January 20-24), hosted by Carla Henton of Creatin’ In The Sticks.

Strip piecing scrappy fabric has to be the best way to spend a snowy day!

My machine was humming in between the shovelling and snow ploughing (yes I got the ploughing out!), visiting and cuddle time with my sweet great granddaughter, Clarke who was born December 14, 1999.

Just a bit of snow at the farm!
Sweet little Clarke Jalynn was born December 14.

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Hi Carol! OMG – could little Clarke BE any sweeter?? No, she could not. What a lovely photo, and I’ll bet you would give up sewing forever to be able to hold her more. I’m playing along in the Winter Blue hop, too. In fact, I forgot I meant to work on that project today. EEK! Thanks for the reminder. Happy Happy New Year to you and your family. ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. Thanks Roseanne. I would give up almost everything to be closer to Clarke. She doesn’t fuss and is happy if she’s being held or not! You’re doing The Winter Blue Hop, too? My project is built and just needs assembling now 😉. Happy Happy New Year to you and yours! 🎉 Carol
