I finished testing another pattern for The Quilt Pattern Magazine which will be published in December. It was a paper pieced project with Y Seams and I thoroughly enjoyed doing this project. Designed by Denise Mohler, it was well written and very easy to follow. I chose to do my wall hanging in Christmas Fabrics because it will be a gift for a friend that has had a rough year, losing her mother and her two dogs.
This was taken in full bring sunshine! The colours are off!
This was taken in the shade. Again the colours are off! The red is a vibrant fabric with gold and burgundy accents. The green fabric is a rich Christmas green. All fabrics came from my scrap bin and are leftovers from earlier projects.
As of today this wall hanging is still in my To Do pile. My shoulder is not quite ready to tackle any quilting. I know, I tried a test sandwich today. 🥴
Thanks for dropping in and spending some time with me. I do hope you are enjoying your winter and the beauty of snow covered mountains (still up high), like I am!

Such a beautiful quilt!!! Your friend will love it!! Big, beautiful flakes are falling right now and we are supposed to get 4″ or so out of this storm…the mountains are to get a foot or more.

That must be so pretty. We still don’t have any snow, but the forecast is for colder weather here. I’m sure I will see snow in Alberta next week at my son’s place. I’m glad you liked that quilt. I think my friend will enjoy something new this Christmas. 😁 Carol
