Time for an update as to my week.
Monday was our federal election here in Canada and I was scheduled to work as a Central Poll Supervisor. I have been working at both federal and provincial elections for over 30 years. My Dad was in the Canadian Armed Forces and always stressed that we had an obligation as citizens to do something to contribute to our country in whatever way we could. My contribution is working the elections, for both advanced and regular polls when time and family obligations allowed.I left home at 5:00 am, picked up one of my workers on the way, had everything set up and staff in place on time to open the poll at 7:00. The day went well. Polls closed at 7:00. The counts and paperwork was finished and I was locking the door to the hall at 11:00 pm. The bad news was I had a dead battery. By the time I got it started (DH had used my battery pack and not recharged it 🥴) and got home it was 1:30 am. That is my first finish of the month!
Tuesday was a very quiet and unproductive day here, but Wednesday andThursday had me playing with fabric testing a pattern and knitting in between housework.
I can share a peek at what has become my first finish for October.

Yesterday DH and I headed for Trail to pick up his new glasses and get groceries.
Just look at some of the pretty scenery along the way:

Today I finished the flimsy for Becca’s test. I’m so happy to have a finish. It seems like forever since I did! This one is special because it will be going to my grandson Ryan for his and April’s daughter who is due to arrive Dec.13. This will be the fourth great for me!

So that’s the roundup of my week! I’m hoping your was more productive than mine and your weekend is full of quilty fun! Thank you for stopping my to read my post. 😄 Carol

CAROL!! What a great post. You have had a fabulous week. Wow, that’s late getting home from the polls. I would have had a very unproductive day after that late arrival. I am testing Becca’s pattern as well. I have made a few blocks today but will send off a post to Becca tonight with just one recommendation. Anyway, I love the fabrics you chose for your soon-to-be newest grandbaby. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Thank you Roseanne. Monday pretty much did me in for a day or so! 🥴I was sure happy to do that test pattern and am now plugging away at my other goals for October. I did love that teddy bear print. I’m sure my grandson’s partner will like it as well. It should match the nursery well! Hugs and hope you are enjoying your weekend! 😉 Carol
