Winner!

Yesterday I received a very unexpected email from Marci of http://www.marcigirldesigns.com/. I won a prize in the Q2 Finish Along Linky party! How exciting is that?

You can read my original FAL post here: Q2 Finishes

To top it all the prize was picking three of Melissa Cory’s patterns. I have been a follower of http://www.happyquiltingmelissa.com/ Melissa’s Happy Quilting blog and freely admit to drooling over her sweet patterns. It seems for the past couple of months most of my sewing has been for testing purposes and I haven’t had many finish pictures that I was able to post.

Today I get to show pics of the three patterns I picked from Melissa (yes, I have them already!). I have already printed the patterns and am pulling possible choices from the stash. There is nothing more exciting than planning projects and pulling fabric, except perhaps, finishing a project.

This past week or so has me working on another paper piecing pattern which I am testing. Just look at these scrumptious fabrics.

I’m almost finished putting the blocks together and will share some sneak peeks when I can.

In the meantime I will work on the fabric pull for these next three projects. I know one of them will include these pretty fabrics which I was going to use in another pattern and changed my mind (we are allowed to do that,)

That paisley just makes me smile and I now think it will have to be my Charlie Girl’s next quilt. Blue and green are her colours and what is a grandmother to do, but make her granddaughter happy. Ruby loves pink and orange so I do have her first big girl quilt on the go. The plan is to get these 2 quilted and gifted for Christmas. Guess I better get moving on them.

Enjoy your weekend by having some time doing some fun things. I’m spending mine fondling fabric.

Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with me. 😄. Cheers, Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.
