Secret Sewing and Sandwiches

I managed to sandwich my two other fundraising quilts for the golf course.

In between getting that done and waiting for my basting spray to dry, I was working with some of the almost 300 hst’s I made yesterday for the secret sewing I am doing.

Can you see all of the bonus hst’s I finished up with? My mind is percolating with ideas to use up these sweet leftovers, but I just don’t have time for that squirrel right now!

The stitch in the ditch portion of my quilting on the fundraising quilts is done. I’m just playing with some custom quilting on them now.. I should have the binding on by the end of the weekend. It’s exciting to think of 4 finishes or possibly 5 for May since I am also finishing a block design/test for an upcoming Row Along being hosted by Marian Pena at Sew Easy Sew.

Have a great weekend and do try to have some fun playing with fabric if that brings you joy. I’m heading over to the machine as soon as I finish this post. 😁. Cheers, Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Yowza! Three hundred HSTs plus bonus ones. Kudos to you my friend. I actually – hold on to your chair – threw away some potential bonus HSTs because I couldn’t deal with the idea of some sitting around. Now I’m thinking about my scrap can that they’re languishing in – I could probably still save them, huh?! HAHA! ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. OH My! You threw some away Roseanne! I remember doing that once upon a time, but now I save them. One of my Quilty Buddies and I have mini staycations at her house every few months and we have marathons making quilts with our bonus and orphan blocks. It’s fun to share and swap! 😉 Carol
