Another Sewing Adventure

Some days I wonder how I get talked in to things!  I just got home from our local Elementary School where I had a meeting with some teachers, advisors and a good friend who is a grandmother to one of the students.  Turns out I am elected/volunteering to spearhead a group of students making costumes for their year end school play.  Should be a breeze, right?  30 costumes in 3 weeks with novice sewers!

Needless to say, I am off to do my required gardening chores and then I need to hit the studio.  I need some basic hats started for Thursday morning.

I do love my life and each day that brings a new adventure!

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Oh my! I suspect they asked you to join them for a reason – they saw you coming and said we’ll volunteer her for this job! She can sew, and she won’t say no. It will be an interesting three weeks!

    1. Yes Roseanne. Interesting for sure! I’m trying to sort, purge and pack a 35+ year old household to downsize since we have sold the property and trying to finish 2 commissions as well! Life is a never ending adventure!
