Sunday Summary #250

Hello and welcome to my Sunday Summary and my To Do Tuesday post.

My Last To-Do Goals:

Real life has been really getting in the way of my stitching time, but I’m just grateful to have any time to fondle fabric and thrilled to report some progress on a project. 😁

It’s been a whirlwind of doctors appointments, home visits, assessments for DH and joy oh joy; another theft at the Golf Club. Life is definitely not boring, but only getting 3 or 4 hours of sleep at night is taking a toll on me.

Now it’s time to see how I did with my last goals:

✅ 1. Play with my SAHRR to see if I can finally get it finished. I’ve made progress and might be on my last border. I’ll know after I press and measure this quilt top. 😁

2. Pull out another UFO and see if I can make any more progress on one of them. No progress 😢

✅ 3. Keep Samantha and her squirrel buddies from distracting me and sidetracking me from my list.  I’m taking a check mark since my only distractions have been in the real life department.

How are you doing with your lists. Will you manage to join the linky party this week?

This Week’s goals:

1. Play with my SAHRR to see if I can finally get it finished.

2. Pull out another UFO and see if I can make any more progress on one of them.

3. Keep Samantha and her squirrel buddies from distracting me and sidetracking me from my list. 🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️

Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day!

I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year and 1 hour at the end of the week to tidy up and deal with my scraps. 🤔

  • January 31/31
  • February 25/28
  • March 25/31
  • April 2/30
  • May 10/31
  • June 23/30
  • July 27/31
  • August 4/8
  • these weeks:
  • previous total: 115/178
  • Total: 122/220
  • Percentage = 55.45%

How are you doing with your goal to stitch for at least 15 minutes each day? Have you joined Kate’s challenge? 😁

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash. Last year I didn’t manage to use as much stash fabric as I planned since I don’t get to go to the studio and play on the long arm, but I’ve been working on finishing quilts on my dsm. 🤩

  • Fabric Used: 23 yards
  • Fabric Purchased this week: 5 yards
  • Fabric Previous Balance: 62 yards
  • Fabric Purchased this year: 5 yards
  • Balance in stash to use this year: 37 yards

* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards this year but realistically I’ll be happy with whatever I manage.

* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!

Memories of Quilts From the Past

A fun little Pojagi piece. Don’t you just love the stained glass effect?

Design Wall Mondays

Judy, at Small Quilts and Doll Quilts, hosts a linky party for “Design Wall Mondays” every week.

I’m including some photos of my current WIPs;

My UFO and WIP List

I’ve made some changes to my tracker, but I’ll be linking with Ms. P. Designs and the PHD in 2026 Challenge

Need to update this again.

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.
