Hello and welcome to my Sunday Summary and my To Do Tuesday post.
I’ve had another week of stitching and unstitching the wedding quilt, but can say I’ve only got the outside borders to finish now. Then this beauty will be ready to square up and then the fun will begin of putting a second backing on to make this quilt in to a duvet cover with a zipper.
This week also brought more adventures with DH. I had to go in to town to pick up his prescriptions and some groceries. I made good time and was only gone for 3 1/2 hours. DH had decided to clean our little deck. He disconnected the Starlink system. It only took me an hour to find where he’d put the cords. He also took the key out of his golf cart and misplaced it. I’ve looked everywhere (including the freezer where I’ve often found other misplaced items) but haven’t discovered it. It’s been hard for him not getting out to play golf unless I’m able to rent a cart at the Golf Club. It’s been so busy they are booked from 9:00 – 7:00. I’ve ordered some keys and they should be here by the end of the week.
My Last To-Do Goals:
Now it’s time to see how I did with my last goals:

✅ 1. Keep working on the wedding quilt. I’ve just got the outside border finished and then put the second backing on to make the quilt in to a duvet cover. 😁

2. If I can finish the wedding quilt, I’d like to get my SAHRR out and try to get it finished. No progress. 😢

✅ 3. Do NOT let Samantha and her squirrel buddies distract me from my list. 🐿️🐿️🐿️. Success! I managed to stick to my list! 😁
How are you doing with your lists. Will you manage to join the linky party this week?
This Week’s goals:

I’ll be keeping my list to a minimum since the wedding quilt deadline is coming.
1. Keep working on the wedding quilt. I can’t wait to show it off after the wedding.
2. Play with my SAHRR if I get the wedding quilt finished.
3. Keep Samantha and her squirrel buddies from distracting me and sidetracking me from my list. 🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️
Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day!
I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year and 1 hour at the end of the week to tidy up and deal with my scraps. 🤔
- January 31/31
- February 25/28
- March 25/31
- April 2/30
- May 10/31
- June 23/30
- this week: 7/7
- previous total: 108/171
- Total: 115/178
- Percentage = 64.61%
How are you doing with your goal to stitch for at least 15 minutes each day? Have you joined Kate’s challenge? 😁

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash. Last year I didn’t manage to use as much stash fabric as I planned since I don’t get to go to the studio and play on the long arm, but I’ve been working on finishing quilts on my dsm. 🤩
- Fabric Used: 0 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 5 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 62 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 5 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 60 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards this year but realistically I’ll be happy with whatever I manage.
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!
