Hello and welcome to my Sunday Summary on Tuesday! It’s been 4 weeks since I was able to get a post up, but life, you know?!?
We had so much fun at our Guild fundraiser;

This week I am training our Pro Shop Supervisor and the 3 staff we’ve hired. If all goes according to plan, I will officially be retired again from my volunteer full time (plus) Pro Shop staff. I’ve decided I’m getting too old to do 110-12 hour days/seven days a week. DH keeps reminding me (when he’s lucid) that I’m not 40 anymore. 🤣
Our weather has been very intense for this time of year with temperatures as high as 28 degrees Celsius, but our little golf course is starting to look and play very well:

I was so excited to hear that I won a prize for my SAHRR and it was the choice of two patterns from a designer I admire, Julie Cefalu, The Crafty Quilter. These are the 2 patterns I chose and I kept them in mind when I was at our fundraiser. I think Vinca Blossom might be a perfect pattern in Christmas fabrics for the Christmas Hampers/Food Bank Project I like to donate to and Lincoln Stars looks nice and intricate so it should be a perfect project to work on this fall once I get my current To Do projects finished and a couple of UFOs. 😉

So I will get to be retired again completely by next Tuesday. 🎉Can you believe I am looking forward to spring cleaning our apartment and re-arranging furniture to allow for DH to travel easier with his walker? Then I am going to fondle fabric and get some therapy in!
My Last To-Do Goals:
I confess I’ve not managed to stitch anything, cut anything, but I surely did get to fondle fabric at our fundraiser. Then two days later we finished clean up and I sorted out some fabric to donate to one of the LQS that is going to be doing free classes for kids, making stuffies!
Now it’s time to see how I did with my goals for the month to remind myself where I left off:

1. Finish my SAHRR. No progress 😢
2. Work on my orphan block project if I can find the rest of my orphan blocks. No progress 😢
3. Try to get my seaside quilt for Nova Scotia together to a flimsy. No progress 😢
4. Get the sashing strips on the Butterfly Quilt. No progress 😁
5. Keep playing with my UFO. No progress 😢
6. If my parcel comes, get my cutting table set up and my cutting mat serviced. No progress because I still haven’t received my rack. 😢
✅7. Stop Sam and her squirrel buddies from distracting me. 🐿️🐿️. Too funny that I get a check mark again for not getting sidetracked. 🤭
This Week’s goals:

My list this week is almost a duplicate of my last one, but I really do think I’ll get some progress since I’m just training staff now and should have me time soon! 🤭
1. Spring clean our home and clear off my cutting table which has become a collector of everything from books to boxes to I’m not sure what!

and tidy my sewing table and chair which is completely buried:

2. Finish my SAHRR.
3. Work on my orphan block project if I can find the rest of my orphan blocks.
4. Try to get my seaside quilt for Nova Scotia together to a flimsy.
5. Get the sashing strips on the Butterfly Quilt.
6. Keep playing with my UFO.
7. If my parcel comes, get my cutting table set up and my cutting mat serviced.
8. Stop Sam and her squirrel buddies from distracting me.
Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day!
I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year and 1 hour at the end of the week to tidy up and deal with my scraps. 🤔
- January 31/31
- February 25/28
- March 25/31
- April 2/30
- this week 0/7
- previous total: 83/94
- Total: 83/120
- Percentage = 69.16 %
How are you doing with your goal to stitch for at least 15 minutes each day? Have you joined Kate’s challenge? 😁

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash. Last year I didn’t manage to use as much stash fabric as I planned since I don’t get to go to the studio and play on the long arm, but I’ve been working on finishing quilts on my dsm. 🤩
- Fabric Used: 0 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 5 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 62 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 5 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 60 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards this year but realistically I’ll be happy with whatever I manage.
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!
