Another busy week of meetings and appointments but I’ve made progress on some of my list. 😁
Sept.1 would have been my father’s 99 birthday so I’m sharing a couple of photographs of him:

But now it’s time to share my progress.
My Last To-Do Goals:

1. Keep making some bags for the Christmas Hamper/Dinner event in December from everything I have kitted up. No progress😢

2. Keep hand stitching in the evening doing my EPP and the needlepoint kit. Made some progress. I only have the last three colours of floss to do and I’ve some more EPP bits done! 😁

3. Try to get this project to the flimsy stage. Good progress on this one 😁

4. Finish making my quilt top from my crumb blocks and leftover panel blocks. No progress this week 😢

5. Keep working to empty my project bins. No progress 😢

6. Keep making some progress on the memory quilts from all of my family’s t-shirts or clothing. Just a bit of progress but I’m starting to get a good idea how this will look now that I’ve got a few more blocks done. 😁

7. Keep stabilizing the quilt tops for Liz’s project. A bit more done on one of the quilt tops 😁
8. Keep Samantha and her buddies from distracting me or coercing me to start anything new until I get my list whittled down. 🐿️🐿️ Epic fail here; some good friends are doing a cross country trip to the Maritimes and back. C has a very dear friend that she worked with for almost thirty years that needs a quilt. I’m on a mission to have this finished when they get home so it can be mailed out to Nova Scotia. 😁

This Week’s goals:

Now it’s time to set my goals for the week.
1. Keep making some bags for the Christmas Hamper/Dinner event in December from everything I have kitted up.

2. Keep hand stitching in the evening doing my EPP and the needlepoint kit.

3. Finish getting this project to the flimsy stage.

4. Finish making my quilt top from my crumb blocks and leftover panel blocks.

5. Keep working to empty my project bins.

6. Keep making some progress on the memory quilts from all of my family’s t-shirts or clothing.

7. Keep stabilizing the quilt tops for Liz’s project.

8. Finish the blocks for the quilt for C’s friend in Nova Scotia which will also use up some of the bits from my stack of project bins. This has become a DrEAMI project as our friend Sandra Walker from MMM Quilts calls them (Drop Everything and Make It!). 😉

9. Keep Samantha and her buddies from distracting me or coercing me to start anything else new. 🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️
Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day. I just love her new logo!
I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year and 1 hour at the end of the week to tidy up and deal with my scraps. 🤔
- January 4/31
- February 2/28
- March 10/31
- April 12/30
- May 29/31
- June 28/30
- July 31/31
- August 30/30
- this week 7/7
- Previous Total: 140/235
- Total: 147/242
- Percentage = 60.74 %
I’m happy to see my percentage going up and I hope you all get to set and keep your goals for your Stitching Time and join Kate. 😁

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash. If I can plan trips to the studio I expect my stash to be reduced terrifically when I start making backings for all of the quilt tops I’ve got to do. 🤩
- Fabric Used: 4 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 15 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 9 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 90 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 200 100 yards (I’ve adjusted my goal since it is almost September and I can no longer visit the studio) this year but realistically I’ll be happy with whatever I manage. 😉
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!
Memories of Quilts From the Past

Design Wall Mondays

Judy, at Small Quilts and Doll Quilts, hosts a linky party for “Design Wall Mondays” every week.
I’m including some photos of my current WIPs;

My UFO and WIP List
Last but not least I have to update my UFO Speadsheet and then try keeping it up to date and so help with my accountability now that I have gone through everything in my storage room and sewing space. I’ve pulled my lists of projects in my bins and have started to update my list.

In closing I’d like to thank you for visiting, for joining the To Do Tuesday linky party, for sharing the party link, and above all for being part of my quilting world. 🤗 Carol
PS. Thank you if you bought me a coffee. I do appreciate your support.

I know how you feel with so many creative balls being juggled! You still have a lot of time to get the bags done so a bit each week should still keep you on track. Your “crumbs and panels” quilt reminds me that I have something similar that has been partially quilted for far too long and really should get back to it and finish it up. Ooh, that fish applique for the Nova Scotia quilt looks like an interesting start. From a pattern or something you are creating? Thanks for the link to mmmQuilts – haven’t visited her site in a good while!

I’m not worrying too much about the bags. The deadline is the first week of December. Your crumb quilt sounds intriguing Vivian. I’ll look forward to seeing it. The Nova Scotia quilt is just out of my brain; no pattern or final plan yet. I do enjoy Sandra’s blog and never seem to visit that often either. Hope you are having a fabric fun filled week. 😉
