Hello and welcome to my Sunday Summary and To Do Tuesday List.
This has been another week of non-stop activity; meetings, fundraising, and preparing to travel with DH for his specialist appointments and to help D prepare for her surgery.

I’m not even going to comment on the situation that has developed on our North American continent with the tariff issue, other than to say it’s both breaking my heart and blowing my mind!
I am not changing anything on either section of my list other than to report 7 non stitching days 😭
My Last To-Do Goals:
1. Keep working on my EPP, embroidery and embroidery sampler as time and my eyesight allow. No Progress 😭
2. Continue plugging away at the memory quilts for my son, granddaughters and Clarke’s family from a collection of T-shirts from my son, DIL and granddaughters and our Clarke’s clothing. No Progress 😭

3. Keep playing with the orphan blocks and goodies from Denise, with some additions from my stash, to use up more bits and pieces until those project boxes are empty. No Progress 😭

4. Finish making the blocks from my crumb blocks now that Monique has handed me another huge bag of brightly coloured scraps. No Progress 😭

5. Finish the pattern test. No Progress 😭
6. Get caught up with Gail from Quilting Gail’s Mystery QAL. No Progress 😭

7. Start piecing the borders to get this to a finished flimsy if I can find it. I seem to have misplaced it and I’m thinking I filed it in one of the bins under my cutting table. This has to be found and moved to the top of the list. 🤔 No Progress 😭

This little quilt needs to be 48” x 84” when it’s done. Decisions need to be made how to add more borders! 🤔
8. I need to get myself organized because Gail from Quilting Gail just announced that she and several of my favourite bloggers are going to do what to me signals the start of the year! Yes the SAHRR 2025 will be starting this week. No Progress 😭

Check with our friend Quilting Gail
9. Do not let Samantha or any of her squirrel buddies side track me🐿🐿🐿🐿. Success! The only sidetracking was done by life outside my sewing corner.
This Week’s goals:
I have no idea yet how much stitching time I’ll manage, but I’m still doing my list and keeping my hopes up🤞🏻
Now it’s time for my new To Do Tuesday List:

1. Keep working on my EPP, embroidery and embroidery sampler as time and my eyesight allow.
2. Finish the pattern test. This is now a priority.
3. I need to get myself organized because Gail from Quilting Gail and some of my other favourite on line friends have already announced round 2 on the SAHRR 2025.

4. Continue plugging away at the memory quilts for my son, granddaughters and Clarke’s family from a collection of T-shirts from my son, DIL and granddaughters and our Clarke’s clothing.😁

5. Keep playing with the orphan blocks and goodies from Denise, with some additions from my stash, to use up more bits and pieces until those project boxes are empty.

6. Finish making the test block from my crumb blocks to see if my design idea will work as I had planned.

7. Get caught up with Gail from Quilting Gail’s Mystery QAL. 🤩

8. Check to see if I left this at the studio. This has to be found and moved to the top of the list. If I didn’t leave it at the studio I will have to remake it since I have to deliver a finished green quilt soon.

9. Assemble these blocks to a flimsy and decide on adding borders at that time.

10. Do not let Samantha or any of her squirrel buddies side track me🐿🐿🐿🐿.
Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day. I just love her new logo!
I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year and 1 hour at the end of the week to tidy up and deal with my scraps. I wasn’t really off to a good start, but it is getting better as things settle down in my real life time and commitments lessen. 🤔
- January 4/31
- February 1/1
- this week 0/7
- Previous Total 17/25
- Total: 17/32
- Percentage = 53.12 %
I hope you all get to set and keep your goals for your Stitching Time and join Kate. 😁

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash. If I can plan trips to the studio I expect my stash to be reduced terrifically when I start making backings for all of the quilt tops I’ve got to do. 😁
- Fabric Used: 0 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 12 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 0 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 188 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 200 yards this year. My goal this year is to use 200 yards of fabric from my stash. 😉
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!

I love this post. I don’t recall you sharing your to do list with pictures before this. I don’t see the linky.

Hi Marsha. This is my YoDo List and Summary. I’m glad you enjoyed it. The To Do Linky Party is the post just before this one. 😉

Hopefully after a week of appointments and surgery, you get a bit of a breather. Sometimes life just scuttles the sewing room stuff. Hope all is well and everyone is doing well.

Hey, Carol — just reaching out to you with a great big hug and a bucketful of grace to dump on any guilt or disappointment you might be feeling about “no progress.” You must be physically and emotionally exhausted right now. I promise you, no one is judging you for not keeping up with your projects and meeting those goals you set for yourself. If I was your guardian angel, I’d take the word “should” right out of your vocabulary so you couldn’t scold yourself about how you “should” have accomplished more in between meetings and travel and medical appointments and caring for those you love. How portable are your EPP and/or your embroidery projects right now? Are either of them bagged up with everything you would need for soothing hand stitching on the go? I remember taking my applique with me when I was driving my dad to all of his doctor appointments and I found it comforting to have something to stitch in the waiting room. It felt like something indulgent and almost rebellious, just “taking care of me,” not like “I must be productive in every moment of every day!” I hope your husband and D are both doing well and in good spirits; they are in good hands with you looking out for them!

Thank you so much Rebecca for your sweet words and well wishes. Both My hubby and D are doing well. I wish I could do some handwork. Those projects are portable but I can’t see well enough until I have laser surgery to be able to do hand work. Even reading is becoming difficult. The good news is I get to finally see my ophthalmology surgeon in a week and a half and some friends are staying with my DH and others are taking me to see the doc! So there is an end in sight (lol on the word choice). 🤗
