My Goals for December 2024

Winter is my favourite time of the year. It’s time to plan and sort things; time to settle in with the snow falling and kids tobogganing on the course.

I have set myself some goals to complete before the end of the month.

I’ve given up recording my UFOs and WIPs on my trackers. I keep forgetting to add in my new projects and I know I’ve forgotten to list some finishes. That means I need to find a better way to keep track of things.

I’m setting a goal in December to pull every single flimsy I have in all of my To Be Quilted bins and documenting a complete UFO List.

Those bins (and more at the studio) have finished quilts, wall hangings, table toppers, flimsies, backing fabrics and are now all mixed together. 🫣

I’m also committing to pulling my projects bins and bags and seeing if I still want to do the projects in them or if the fabric should go back in my stash. I’m not going to share a photo of that stash!

Then I am going to make a complete list of all of those starts or to be made projects. I’d like to start the new year being organized and keeping it that way all year. I fell out of the habit of recording things in 2023 with all of the insanity going on and 2024 has just been more of the same, and it looks like 2025 will just continue to be as crazy.

The only way I can get it together is by starting the New Year with a fully catalogued list and I am not going to allow myself to start anything new (🤞🏻) until I get my UFO list whittled down.😉🐿️

Guess it means I’ll be finishing a lot of quilts on my DSM. 😉

I need to get some of the piles of quilts finished, the project bins emptied and have more room in our little home.

Any one else in the same situation? Shall we work on it together? 🤗 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. I’ve done a pretty good job of keeping track of all my projects for the last few years. I’m still working down the UFO list. That seems to be an unending task. I’m hoping all the progress that I made this year will help on that front next year.
