My Last To-Do Goals:

Last week I was busy getting ready to go to DH‘S niece’s wedding and finishing organizing things at the Guild for the floor installation. I hadn’t realized how much equipment we have for our members to use or borrow until we were emptying the cupboards to get them moved out!
Then on Wednesday DH informed me we weren’t going to the wedding. He’s just not up to travelling, experiencing too much pain and too unsteady. He said he didn’t want to go there and spend all of his time in the hotel room. He also is being a male and refuses to use the walker which would make it easier for him to get around. 🤔
That meant he had to call his sister in law to extend our regrets and cancel our reservation, which resulted in an emotional conversation 🥹 and I had to make arrangements to get the quilt to another relative in time for them to travel south. Delivery was made and the gift was there on time for the wedding yesterday and DH’s sister in law would take care of wrapping the gift with the card since I remembered to include paper, ribbon and the card in the parcel. I’ve learned not to wrap things before we cross the border! 😉

Yesterday morning I woke up to this incredible fall view.

1. Keep working on my EPP, embroidery and embroidery sampler as time and my eyesight allow. No progress. 😢
2. Try to finish binding the eight five quilts. I was busy this past week and managed to get one binding finished and a second started! 😢
3. Finish the memory quilts for my son and granddaughters from a collection of T-shirts from my son, DIL and granddaughters and our Clarke’s clothing. No progress on these quilts this week 😢

4. Keep playing with the orphan blocks and goodies from Denise, with some additions from my stash, to use up more bits and pieces until those project boxes are empty. I did get a bit more done on these purple/yellow log cabin blocks! 😁

5. Finish making the blocks from my crumb blocks before Monique hands me another bag of Tula Pink scraps. Not much progress on this other than deciding on the background and starting to cut the sashing and needed background squares and strips. 😢
6. Put the binding on my quilt and start writing my post for the blog hop. Finished and I’m writing my post. My day is Tuesday so I’m going to be ready on time! 😁

7. Start assembling this quilt top. No progress on this one this week 😢

8. Finish the pattern test. Done and I’ll write about it when the pattern is released. 😁
9. Do not let Samantha or any of her squirrel buddies side track me🐿🐿🐿🐿. Samantha got me again! I realized it was National Jelly Roll Day so I had to get out my bin of leftover jelly roll and scrap strips and I was able to get this far on a new project

Then I just had to sign up for another blog hop, finalize plans for another commission, and volunteer to do another another pattern test for one of my favourite designers so I actually added 4 more projects to my list! Thanks Sam! 🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️😅
This Week’s goals:
This week I don’t (so far 😉) have any meetings or appointments scheduled so I’m hoping to make huge progress on my list which has grown considerably. I really need to finish some of these projects and shorten my To Do List to a more manageable number of WIPs. 😉
Now it’s time for my new To Do Tuesday List:

1. Keep working on my EPP, embroidery and embroidery sampler as time and my eyesight allow.
2. Try to finish binding the eight now five quilts. 😉
3. Finish the memory quilts for my son, granddaughters and Clarke’s family from a collection of T-shirts from my son, DIL and granddaughters and our Clarke’s clothing.

4. Keep playing with the orphan blocks and goodies from Denise, with some additions from my stash, to use up more bits and pieces until those project boxes are empty.

5. Finish making the blocks from my crumb blocks before Monique hands me another bag of Tula Pink scraps. 😉

6. Finish designing my project for the next blog hop.

7. Start assembling this quilt top:

8. Start on the commission quilt.
9. Keep playing with my jelly roll quilt.

10. Get organized to do the pattern test. 😅
13. Do not let Samantha or any of her squirrel buddies side track me🐿🐿🐿🐿.
Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day.
I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year and 1 hour at the end of the week to tidy up and deal with my scraps. I wasn’t really off to a good start, but it is getting better as things settle down in my real life time and commitments lessen. 🤔
- January 21/31
- February 27/29
- March 27/31
- April 20/30
- May 26/31
- June 22/30
- July 31/31
- August 24/31
- September 7/21
- this week 7/7
- Previous Total 212/258
- Total: 219/265
- Percentage = 82.64%
At this rate, I might get back up to 85 or even 90% by the end of the year! I hope you all get to set and keep your goals for your Stitching Time and join Kate. 😁

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash. If I can plan a trip to the studio I expect my stash to be reduced terrifically when I start making backings for all of the quilt tops I’ve got to do. 😁
- Fabric Used: 0 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 34 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 0 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 34 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards this year. I haven’t managed to actually figure out how much fabric I really have in my stash, but I have reduced my stash these past few years and only purchase fabric if I need it for a particular project. If I do purchase fabric I add it to my Balance in stash to use this year in order to continue reducing my stash. 😉
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!

Sorry you didn’t make it to the wedding, they are busy and tiring as well as fun. I needed a nap before we headed out to the one we had this weekend. Good luck with your to do list this week. You’ve got lots of fun new things to play with.

Hi Kate. It was sad to miss the wedding and seeing everyone, but DH was content being home. He managed a few holes of golf and I had fabric therapy time. 😉

Too bad for the wedding, but your beautiful quilt has arrived at its destination, and that’s the main thing. The pattern test is gorgeous, I love your colors, and the quilt looks very interesting. I can’t wait to see the pattern reveal. Thank you for sharing your busy and productive week!

Thank you Frederique. It is good that the quilt arrived. I’m looking forward to doing the pattern test and Sandra’s last released pattern will be the perfect centrepiece for the quilt for my friend’s daughter. Thank you for hosting us all again this week 😉

Sorry you had to cancel your trip. Love the gold quilt you haven’t assembled yet. No matter how much you work on those scraps, people can donate them to you faster than you can sew them. Good luck!

Thank you Donna. I do like that gold quilt too and can’t wait to see it finished. The scraps do keep appearing from friends and I create lots myself 😆
